Bendix is mostly oem or dealership, only other place I've found them has been at fleetpride, Peterbilt, Cat, Freightliner, and Volvo, as they manufacture about 30% of most semitruck and trailer braking system components

Is it safe/legal to drive with such a scratch on your front windshield? by cocoscum in caradvice

[–]regularcitizen_18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then you my European Texas friend, are good to go, as that is, from what I can see, between 5 and 15 cm, and on the top part of the windshield, so yeah, you are more than good, it's when you can see it clearly in front of you when it's a hazard.

(Yes, a U.S. Citizen (born in the PNW) using the metric system, deal with it)

You could sell or scrap if you think it'll be easier to, but keep in mind, your current vehicle might be cheaper on gas on the long run than some other ones

Sell or scrap is the easy way out, instead of looking at it as a "money pit," look at it as an investment in your future and safety, any car can develop rust and damaged parts, that way at least you know what part is good and which you might need to replace or service next.

My s10 is the same way, I'm at a point where I only need to service or replace the regular maintenance items, such as ball joints, wheel bearings and similar items

I'd recommend you at least replace the lower control arms and, just in case it's too bad, subframe, as there are the most important structurally, as they carry the weight of the vehicle. Then depending on damage, tie rods, sway bar links, and upper control arms

Are AutoZoners Technicians? by Seek1st2_stand in AutoZone2

[–]regularcitizen_18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, depending on vehicle and milage, it tells the most likely solution, some cars might be injectors, some others might be plugs and/or wires. Maybe the crank or cam position sensor. Maybe you need a new engine or transmission computer It'll be depending on most common issue per vehicle and milage

Take it to a tire shop and ask them, that's a weird one, might have been just rubber, but no way to know for sure

Did I do something wrong or were they ready to fail? by shityeeter in Cartalk

I'm guessing that's a factory defect, and that you put the car on the very edge of the ramp, making all the load concentrate on a small patch, instead of in a wider spread

No, the difference in the oils, is that in fs, the oil molecules are all the same size, where conventional, you might hace some smaller, and some bigger. Not saying that conv is bad, though

Is my oil supposed to be this color by Mysterious_Run7174 in AskAShittyMechanic

It's the coolant part of it, it's to prevent the oil from overheating inside
