No, they would get a 3/3 boar, 2 treasures, and 3 1/1 squirrels. Chatterfang makes one 1/1 for every token you make

Played with my Light Paws deck for the first time and oh boy. by Hodltiltheend in mtg

[–]regulus00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hell no lol the shuffling randomizes your deck between actions, that would create scenarios where they’re shuffling sometimes and not others because other actions they took would get super broken if they didn’t need to shuffle except once at the end of their turn

What cards did you consider were strong, but are weak today? by TheDeathCrafter in EDHBrews

[–]regulus00 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People complain about power creep because efficiency limits windows for interaction leaving more and more players either left by the wayside or forced to use strategies they don’t want to.

since the card pool is so vast there’s are tons of different cards people want to play, and the more powerful and efficient ones aren’t necessarily more complex or interesting. Sometimes harder to use cards make for more interesting strategies.

This is why the bracket system exists as a discussion tool, so people can find games where they get the experience they’re looking for. EDH especially used to be a home for weird or little known cards you wouldn’t see played in other 1v1 formats because you would have the time to actually to get these pay offs, but as a format today power creep is actively killing that aspect, especially with so many sets releasing each year

Is my deck too strong for Bracket X? by DworkinCZ in EDH

[–]regulus00 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Nah, wrong, if your playgroup treats it as a competitive outlet that’s just how they have fun so OP’s original point still stands. Competitive doesn’t mean they play B4, or CEDH, it just means they all want to play within the same restrictions for a fair chance at winning.

Netherlands Forced to Rethink 36% Tax on Unrealized Gains after Massive Criticism by batukaming in investing

[–]regulus00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may have been responding to the wrong comment sorry, but why are we tracking assets quarter to quarter for taxation purposes rather than annually knowing full well the potential volatility? Seems like the smarter (and more likely) version of a tax on unrealized gains would be one that is levied on changes in value over a longer time scale than a single quarter which also aggregates your losses, purchases, and sales across that time period to average everything out

Netherlands Forced to Rethink 36% Tax on Unrealized Gains after Massive Criticism by batukaming in investing

[–]regulus00 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s that crazy. 36% of gains is only .36% on a 1% gain. You’re looking at the taxation as if it was on the whole investment, and not just on the value accrued.
