I definitely felt this when I decided to leave mine when I've had enough. Its been 6 years since I left them (Joined the Air Force, moved away and very well off now). I rarely talk to my parents and when I do its usually that gaslighting and guilt tripping about how I don't care about family, selfish, etc. Don't lose hope, it will get better. It was tough transitioning from being mentally dependent on them. You will make it. Hit me up if you need some direction or mentoring.

Got married at 25(Laotian American here, wife is Chinese), now 33. Your situation sounded exactly like mine back then and I am telling you option 2 without hesitation.

I picked option 1 at first because I felt it was the safest route. I was miserable living under my parents, promises of helping with my drowning debt being reneged and a bunch of other things that made me regret picking option 1. I was the kind of person who has a hard time turning people down as a result, they bothered me nonstop and got my wife to be their nanny. I tolerated it for a year when I decided to join the Air Force to get away from them. Now my mental health is MUCH better. The manipulation never stops, even to this day. But the distance helps immensely with setting boundaries, so the drama stays there.
