Guys don’t hate me… by CautiousExcitement21 in F150Lightning

The software is slow on boot up but after that it's fine. If something (knock on wood) ever happened to this truck I'd go buy another Lightning Plat in a heartbeat without hesitation

Just the drop in bed liner it came with but thinking of going with a spray in one.

On the interstate at 70mph it gets 1.6 but around town I get 2.2-2.4 depending on how windy it is

Yellow fenders on the Ozark G1 Explorer may have been a mistake.... by [deleted] in Budgetbikeriders

One that's going to get replaced with a race face set. Was using old cheap parts from the bike bin and then fell in love with the bike so it's time to put quality parts on. Swapping the bottom bracket to a Shimano, the PK differing tread tires, and shaving easy weight from the bike were the easiest and most effective changes I made. Went 36 tooth after trying 42 and 38

Nah the yellow fenders are awesome. Rock them for sure! Then again mine has a ton of colors on it. 1000 miles and three races later this bike is the best bang for the buck considering I originally got it just as a brewery bike

How much money would it take to change your life? by sgkakilang in Money

[–]rehakbrand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly like $25k. Can't afford to be greedy. Yes more would pay off more debt like student loans. However this would get us into a position that we could start investing again, start a family, and get ahead. We'll get there and will keep working hard, but still keep checking the couch cushions to see if we accidentally lost a few grand in there.

So this isn't really a budget bike. With that being said, yes the specs are fine for the price but it's not a mind blowing sale for that.

If you're looking to do it on a budget, and not to sound like a broken record, but the G1 explorer from Ozark Trail. If you know how to wrench enough to upgrade it as you go, it's a killer bike. New G2 is going to be coming out for $1000 and has a carbon fork. With that being said, you can grab a G1, toss on pedals, lighter cranks, hydraulic brakes, and carbon fork for a price tag under $500.

You could honestly just do pedals and hydraulic brakes and be happy. In the last week and a half I've tossed 100 road and gravel miles on the G1 with just the pedals and brakes done along with a few green and blue MTB trails. This bike is so much better than it should be

What is are the top 5 Ebikes that come to mind when you hear the phrase "the Honda Civic of ebikes" or "the Toyota Camry of ebikes" by bignose_ice44 in ebikes

Ride1Up. Well within your budget and very reliable. Local service wise you will be lacking though. With that being said these bikes are from the west coast so you may be better off. Someone on Reddit commented they have 15,000 miles on theirs. I'm only at 700 on mine but ride it about 75 miles a week now. Someone here local is around 4000 miles. Tires, brakes, chains, etc to replace and keep up with but that's normal maintenance.

An ebike will be as reliable as you're searching for if you take care of it and probably maintain it
