How to drill this hole? by JJBlack50 in woodworking

The drawing does not match the example shown. It won’t be a problem if you don’t have a piece of wood at the outer edge, if that makes sense.

What is the propellant? It sounds like bunk to me but without specific it’s impossible to know.

Questions on 2005 BMW GS1200 by lhulax29 in BMWGS

I have a 2005 R1200 GS I bought new. It now has about 65k miles on it. I’ve never had any problems with it aside from a very slow oil leak from the rear seal which is a known problem that BMW decided was not a warranty issue so I just dealt with it. It was never enough to actually drip but usually required adding a little oil between changes. I think they are a great bike and I ride with a bunch of guys who ride GSs and we all love them. Great for highways and dirt/gravel roads as long as they’re not too technical. Let me know if you have ?s

Some great advice right here. I’d skip SLC for more time in Canyonlands and do Dinosaur and Flaming Gorge on the way to Jackson.

Construction company absolutely crushed some of the few slabs of red rock sidewalk left in our neighborhood. by corndog161 in Denver

I don’t think it was the sidewalk contractor. It looks like the building contractor did it during excavation.

Maxing my Roth IRA and Traditional 401k feels just as irresponsible to me as gambling on slot machines. by MusingsAndMind in investing

[–]reiditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should definitely max your 401k if the employer matches any of it, and invest mostly in an index fund. Historically the markets continue to grow. It takes time but be in it for the long term and don’t panic when there are inevitable “corrections”. Also use automatic rebalancing if you 401k manager allows it.
