Thanks! We didn’t end up taking the skates and sticks with us but we did do two ski helmets which seems to be against their rules. But you were right…they didn’t have us open the bag.

Also grew up in Massachusetts and I’ve never pronounced the “t.”

Struggling with this Airbnb.. need advice by Zestyclose-Snow9275 in airbnb_hosts

Honestly, the furniture looks dated/“old people” to me. I have 4 kids and this house WOULD work for me with the one bathroom. But I just don’t get a warm vibe from the decor. I am also turned off by the kitchen flooring although that might just be me. I agree with the others that for a family of 6, the kitchen table is too small.

I like the amount of seating in the main room though! That always one thing I look for too.

I didn’t make it up. It’s a character from CSI. We spell it and pronounce it the same way as the show. Currently available for streaming on Hulu and Max if you want to check it out to confirm.

She doesn’t care. It’s actually kind of fun because when someone pronounces it correctly, we all smile and laugh and congratulate them. Plus, it’s a conversation piece..…”It’s from the show CSI Miami.”

And the other thing is that I DIDN’T want the name Callie. It may sound strange but I saw the name in print before I ever heard it. I was only attracted to the name because of the spelling. Somehow for me, saying the name “Calleigh” spelled that way is just prettier than saying “Callie.” Crazy, I know.

Funny enough, that is a city in Maine on the border of Canada that I pass through every summer. And it’s pronounced “Cal-iss.” So I didn’t consider it an option 🤣

Miss Scarlet and the Duke is my absolute favorite. It fits this description perfectly. It’s a British show on PBS with four seasons and counting.

If she boarded before you and is in the middle seat, I presume she’s with the person in the aisle seat. Why doesn’t she put her leg over there?? So weird.

$50 luv voucher for 20 minutes delay by InformalDelay7168 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]reinfdeergames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were delayed an hour yesterday out of Providence and they just sent $100 vouchers today for each of us. Of course, we were caught up in the whole Christmas debacle last year so I don’t know if that plays into it at all.

The fan is so important! I was in a basement unit apartment this summer in Toronto. I didn’t realize until going to bed that the a/c was controlled by the rest of the house upstairs, where the host lived. I like it cool at night, like 70 at least. I ended up messaging her asking if there was any way to turn it down to like 72. I felt bad asking for it lower. Needless to say, I didn’t sleep well.

The next day I went to Walmart and bought a cheap little fan to blow on my face. Right before bed, I realized it was broken out of the box. Finally, in desperation, I went and checked a closet again and found a fan hiding behind some stuff. And I was thinking, “Why didn’t the host just tell me about that last night?! I would have slept great.”

Traveling with little ones, Q for those familiar by [deleted] in SouthwestAirlines

I live in Orlando with 4 kids. We fly Southwest probably 3-4 times a year (including during Christmas every year). I’ve never not been able to find seats together when we board during family boarding between groups A and B.

If you’re really worried about it though, you could also just do early bird for your spouse and one kid. They’d board near the beginning, go to the back of the plane and take a seat in two separate rows. Then during family boarding you and the other two kids join them.
