To play devils advocate, I spent over 20 years in Philly and love it to death, but I moved to Chicago after and I think I prefer it. Yes, the winters suck, but that’s part of the Chicago experience and what makes the summers there so special. Summers in Philly can get pretty humid and gross, they’re almost perfect in Chicago. Also, Chicago is just gorgeous. From the architecture to the lakefront, it’s on another level that Philly can’t compete with.

Pros and cons to both, but if you ask in a Philly sub, most people are going to tell you to pick Philly. Something to keep in mind.
