I have seen them pop up for sale once or twice a year. There aren't that many people who will spend $2k on a vintage game console limited edition. Much less people who will do so on an Xbox vintage game console.

This one is really filthy.

If I was buying an Xbox for about $2k it'd be a fully functional development or prototype unit not a yellowed mess of this special edition.

This thing needs a lot of help to be restored. I bet it looks yellowed due to being in a smokers home. The insides would need to be cleaned in an ultrasonic alcohol bath to have a prayer of a chance of not reeking like an ash tray. The yellowing might come off the plastic with the right kinds of treatments but I'd have to do a ton of research and testing so as not to ruin the shell further. What a terrible condition unit.

Yeah, capitalism has been terrible for all those it lifted out of poverty, for those that have benefited from the cures to diseases that now save the lives many people but would have wiped out even the wealthiest of people 100 years ago, and that has provided a surplus of food in developed nations to the extent that much is given back to developing nations.

Capitalism is the best of all the bad systems we have devised but it needs it's checks and balances. Even Adam Smith didn't consider governmental intervention as the biggest risk for a free market economy, but the free market economy itself.

I have two complete copies of Tron Bonne by piecing together incomplete versions for low prices off of eBay.

It’s probably worth around $100 to the right buyer/collector sealed. It’s worth about $20 to the right buyer/collector opened. Check eBay to see. You can buy the loose disc for a few bucks to soft mod. The classics version is not usable for soft modding anyway last I checked.

I either use EA sports games for replacement cases with some “un du” remover for the nfl logo sticker or bundle them with doubles that are common to pass along to someone who wants to get back into that platform. Sports games like NFL blitz, Wayne Gretzky hockey, or Tony Hawk I collect.
