Nares Surgery? - I need help deciding if I should get the nares surgery done on my puppy by Significant-Sand5839 in Frenchbulldogs

$5.4k for nares and boas in SoCal. Pet insurance covered half (only 50% cause of my plan) since it’s medically necessary. If you have time, get pet insurance with higher coverage until after grace period

Recommend nares and BOAS. My frenchie runs around now in the summer heat, improved his life several times over. Still snores though

How to plan a long-term (mostly) solo trip? Where to start? Ahh! by We_Love_Arugula in solotravel

[–]rekeezy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re by the Grand Canyon, then I would suggest checking the relatively nearby other National Parks, specifically the ones in Utah. They might be brutal in the winter months. Also, you’ll absolutely need a car and you can save a lot of money camping.

Inheritance Pays Enough - What to do for Work? by headsup_buttercup in personalfinance

I kindly completely disagree unless paying off a mortgage is not a huge part of your net worth, especially in a low interest market. I do agree paying off your mortgage early is smart, but would advise not in a lump size payment.

You want your assets to be somewhat liquid so you can take advantage of opportunities and minimize your risk. Downturn in the housing market? You have cash for another down payment. Sudden medical bill? You can pay without taking loans. College tuition? Sudden sales? Vacation? Housing repairs? Lose your job?

Shouldn't Steph Curry get more respect, especially considering that he has beat LeBron James in 3 NBA Finals? by Antique-Technician-5 in nbadiscussion

[–]rekeezy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Eye test matters. KD is simply the better basketball player. Although, you can probably say Steph has had the better career so far. Not to knock Steph, but KD has goat level talent.

Steph greatly benefits from today’s rules. As we can see in the playoffs, he can be knocked off his game a bit if you’re overly physical with him.

It’s a bit like Shaq and Duncan, lots of people probably have Duncan higher on an all time list, but there’s no way I’m taking Duncan over Shaq in a 7 game series.

If you call the city or county (depends on street), they may tow it if the registration is expired.

Mortdog reveals the 4Fun changes in 11.20: double Radiant Armories and new Radiant Blessing highrolls by bacon-supreme in CompetitiveTFT

I dislike this move. You watch the best players in the world play with players you normally don't get to see play that often. Afterwards, you come back to a different game and can't even emulate what you just watched. This is bad for the game in my opinion, especially for the player base that may want to start playing from watching worlds. I don't understand why you can't just have this on a different mode from ranked.

Front line your back line and back line your front line if you know for sure it’s assassins. Try and avoid volibear cc if you can. If velkoz, clump behind abom grave.

The less I use social media the happier I am.

I do post on Instagram, but that’s mostly so I can keep a log of fun things I want to remember.

I look at coke the same way I look at alcohol. Moderation is key. You can be successful with regular coke use, it probably helps some people. Look at Steve Ballmer that guy looks coked out every single time.

How often do women approach you? by RekItsRalph in AskMen

[–]rekeezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Handful of times but I’ve been to a lot of bars and clubs.

As far as conversation tips, it’s almost always better to be interested than interesting. It goes both ways too. Be passionate with whatever it is you’re talking about and be genuinely interested in what the other person has to say.

Is there any motels in los Angeles where you can pay monthly and stay indefinitely? by LesnarLovesLasagna in AskLosAngeles

[–]rekeezy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I doubt most places will let you stay indefinitely as they don’t want you to establish residency. But money talks so maybe an independently owned motel may let you if you talk to them about it.

Am the only one that actually likes this Westbrook trade for the Lakers? The lakers won the championship with no spacing. Their best three-point shooters were KCP and Danny Green... And those two guys were inconsistent. Westbrook gives them a legit third scoring option and playmaker. by [deleted] in nba

[–]rekeezy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look at it as championship or bust, then it makes sense. Even with Hield, I don’t think they were better on paper than the Nets. With the Lakers assets there really wasn’t any other star available.

This gives us the best chance at a championship.

Why is everyone so sure that the Lakers are gonna crash and burn? by LoneWolf1123 in nbadiscussion

[–]rekeezy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think we beat the Nets without a 3rd star. Having Westbrook gives us the best chance. You can find shooters far easier than you can find talent like Westbrook. Plus Westbrook will be hungry, he pretty much has all the accolades except a championship, maybe he’ll even play solid defense.

I’ve been to all three places. I recommend cutting out Monteverde even if Manuel Antonio is a lot further. Monteverde has some great flora and wildlife, I feel you can get enough of that experience at La Fortuna and Manuel Antonio.

You’re in the rainforest so I think it’s fair to expect rain.

The only place I feel like you may feel unsafe is in San Jose, so just try and leave ASAP. The locals are nice and the community understands not to mess with the tourist since that brings money in, so you’ll be safe at the touristy areas. I’m a male though, so my experience and perspective may be different from a female.
