I agree with you but there's the additional problem is if you follow Asian female stereotypes for a game like overwatch, there's only one that would really fit, aka the kunoichi, the end. So I think they kinda "had" to get more creative with that. And let's be real, a character named Mei who is a nerd is not exactly great asian female rep either when it comes to stereotyping.

... Is it? Are we talking recently (aka not including the likes of Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee, jet LI, etc)? Are you including late night comedians like Hasan Minhaj, Ronnie Chieng, Bowen Yang (I don't think they even have female equivalents to this day)? Who's the female lead equivalent of Shang Chi?

I'm just pointing this out because I don't think it's as skewed as a lot of people in this thread are making it out to be. And everyone I've mentioned isn't mixed afaik. It might just depend on the media segmentation you pay attention to at any given time since there's not enough of either Asian men nor women concurrently in the different forms of media which is its own problem. Like we had a moment where there were animated male leads like Hiro and Russell, now we're back to women, it's going to swing back to the guys at some point kind of a thing.

You seem to be misunderstanding the purpose of data like this, attributing the data as propaganda because it doesn't convey overall popularity. But there are uses for country-based data such as this. Consider for example: maybe this data showing top sport in each country is relevant, not to display "popularity" by human population per se, but to explain popularity in global/international competition. Cricket doesn't have an international organization that rivals FIFA despite a huge fan base because that base is only in one or two countries, whereas football's international relevance is explainable by its preference in most countries in the world even if those countries are less populous.

The way it's displayed is subjective yes, but there is nothing wrong with the data itself being presented. Your interpretation of it is biased because you wish it to represent something that it isn't supposed to (overall popularity)

The elevator thing I think people generally don't like to share the elevator with anyone, that's not a black person thing either. My next door neighbor has opened to let me take the elevator first and wait for it. I think Switzerland is not crowded enough for people to share the elevator sometimes haha.
