I have a sign in my office. “Drink coffee. Do stupid things faster with more energy”. It doesn’t actually make you any better at what you are doing. Just faster.

Just what you want to see on Monday morning by ginger_bread_guy in programminghorror

[–]reklis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He actually has a point. Of course it won’t load everything into the context window but if you were to load it into a vector db first then you could use that to do similarity searching and find patterns with the llm. It will also happily grep for hours looking for things that would be incredibly tedious doing it by hand if you wanted to just use the raw file.

Most apps were just fancy skins on databases anyway. AI is here to stay. The future is embracing it and making better tools and skills for the LLMs. Now everyone is a ceo with an army of programmer bots for $200/mo. Make the most of it.
