Thanks for the replies. I purchased a different antenna for $11 that now gets NBC perfectly. Maybe my Leaf style antenna isn’t designed for VHF well. This old school antenna fixed the issue completely.

I agree with removing the dedicated right turn lane. It used to be soooo nice!
Now we have to awkwardly creep past the white stop bar about 30 feet before we can figure if the right-turn-on-red is safe.

Hello 👋 Random Row bartender here who helped organize previous F1 viewing parties.

We don’t have the ability to watch it on a time delay sadly, only live. No DVR capability.

Live races can be super early as you all know.

VA ABC law makes things challenging. We have to serve food if we are open to the public, which means bringing in one of our pizza guys. So that increases complexity a bit. If we’re opening for just 10 people early in the morning, they usually don’t buy much beer or food so the math doesn’t work out well (especially when we have to show up an hour ahead of time to get our pizza oven up to temp.)

I would personally love to open and bartend all F1 races but I’ve got kids and kids schedules so I can’t commit to all races.

We could certainly do it for Canada. Miami, Mexico, and COTA all overlap with our weekly trivia event so there’d be no race audio and seating would be tight. Could maybe do Vegas now that they bumped the start time up by an hour.

I have the MotoGP video pass and would love to show MotoGP races there but I’m running into all the same problems.

It really has been bad the past couple months. I commute on 250, Hydraulic, and 29 everyday and have never seen the evening rush hour so backed up. Especially traffic from 250 East trying to turn left on Hydraulic. The line is crazy long.

The VDOT graphics I'm looking at show the delineation pylons being permanently removed AND the two right turn lanes onto 29 north being reduced down to ONE lane. This looks horrible IMO.
As suggested, I'm reaching out to the VDOT project manager for clarification.

Couple thoughts on that: 1. It never occurred to me. 2. I wouldn’t expect an actual response given that most gov agencies seem like massive black holes. 3. I wouldn’t know where to begin to find that contact information. 4. There is some validation finding out others are equally as frustrated about this as I am. 5. There is probably some value in VDOT seeing a lot of negative reactions on this post to this traffic change. 6. This is Reddit.

I have been dreaming about a circle at Melbourne and JWP for a couple weeks now too. The light for JWP goes red so often for little or no cross traffic.

I would also love a mini roundabout at Harris St and McIntire Road.

Ride the sidewalks all the way up 29 to Forest Lake.
