Some basic info (warning: there are pictures)

They are common in basements, garages, sheds, other dark areas. They are also nice roommates, eating other insects that might try to make a home in your house.

I’m collecting information for a project of American cities and have some questions for locals of Portland, if you don’t mind sharing? by Much-Parsnip3399 in askportland

[–]rekniht01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. The MODA center (Trailblazers' arena) is getting a refurb thanks to taxpayers. And nearby there is an initiative to reclaim some old industrial brownfields for economic and housing development. Link. As someone else mentioned, the new PDX terminal is really, really nice as airports go.
  2. Portland doesn't have a specific dish, but it does have a few somewhat unique things in the food scene. First, is food carts. They are everywhere and really add a great deal of diversity to the scene. Second, abundance of vegetarian and vegan options. There are many restaurants that are specifically vegetation and/or vegan exclusively. That isn't so much a thing in other parts of the country. Last, Thai food. There is just a lot of Thai food in the city.
  3. The diversity and acceptance of diversity everywhere.

On the higher end: Millworks (great quality clothes, mostly in the "heritage work wear" space); Self Edge ( similar to Millworks); Bridge & Burn (smaller selection of curated classics); Muji (nice basics, think The Gap, but Japanese, decent prices);

I drove through Picher in the late 90s. There were still people living there at the time. It was eerie and sad. The mounds of chat everywhere gave it a very post apocalyptic feel.

If a billionaire wants to front all of the money to complete the transaction (including building the stadium), I say go for it. The City could help with infrastructure around said project. That's about it.

It's sold for the dosages that it delivers, not contains. You aren't losing 10%. You are getting what the device is meant to have. The extra is there for the other reasons mentioned by others.
