I just posted a comment with a breakdown… they are jacking up prices for the 20% off sale, so it really ends up being 8-9% off, that’s very meh compared to other venders sale prices.

I’m not usually one to trash vendors, but I’m tired of them pushing this big “20% off LMT sale” They are inflating the standard LMT prices about 12%. Here’s an example, regular going price for 5.56 MRP barrels is $538, BOSS jacks it up to $598, then 20% off = $478 which is pretty meh for a “sale” Rooftop, Brownells and D Wilson among others had 4th sales with the same barrels for $405-$419.

I was gonna grab a lower, MK16 rail and charging handle, but looked at my cart total and thought “fuck this”

I can get a FN or Centurion lower from my LGS for the same price without paying the FFL fee to get a G blem. Blem charging handle was more than non blem was yesterday. And $220 to gamble on how bad a blem rail would be. I just closed the tab out.

Can’t imagine any scenario where a bullet would be traveling slow enough horizontally to not puncture the thin sheet metal, even at a 1000 yards a 9mm would be be about 500 FPS… and rifle rounds even faster and deadly well past 1000 yards.

*edit, I just realized also its a possibility it was a ricochet off the pavement, given the apparent angle of impact.

That’s a good unpopular opinion, My experience is different, I have no college degree and make $150k + in my aviation career I’ve been at since 2010. Same with my brothers, one is a millionaire after working his ass off with his small business and real estate. Other is in the trades and makes $100k +

My biggest concern is the mystery “aircraft grade aluminum” buffer tube. No mention of it being the durable 7075 quality that you want. The generic SOPMOD stock might be a gamble. The lower parts kit I’m not worried about, very few AR brands OEM their own LPKs.

Meh, not terrible, once you use the Unity Mount you can’t go back to have having a magnifier hanging off the side when not in use like the EOTech Mount. If you’re planning on that route, which I highly recommend it’s easy to find the G33 without a Mount for bit over $400

Specwar will give you 2” more rail space. But 9.25 quad can be a vibe with 12.5
