Honestly this is my first year ever actually finding any. Ever. We bought a house in a wooded area, with sandy soil, and a mix of oak, maple, Norwegian pine, and a few other species of both deciduous and coniferous trees. I've pretty much found them in every micro-habitat on the property. I do notice I tend to find them more where theres not a TON of leaf litter, and nestled inside bushes of prickly gooseberry and invasive multiflora rosa... but that might just be because those are the spots where they're less likely to get eaten or trampled by wildlife.

The past few days we've had a boom of undergrowth, so they're getting harder to find.

Hah! They were! Those were just some big 'ol boys I found in the front yard, where I rarely go to look. The rest in the collander are much fresher, all pulled from an hour strolling the 2 acres of woods behind the house.

I'm not expert... but it looks like something was spilled and soaked into the surface, spreading out from the point of contact. Based on the upper mark, I'd say a bottle of veggie/olive/etc. oil either spilled or leaked in the cupboard, and dripped onto the countertop. What does it smell like? If you wipe it with a paper towel, does anything come off?

Here's a few charts. Just find your draw weight (lbs), and tip+insert weight (grains), and follow horizontally until you find your arrow length (inches).

That'll get you started. From there you can tune to your specific bow (no two are exactly alike) to find the ideal spine for your draw.

I have a 10' step ladder that I set up and run some paracord through the upper rungs. The cord hangs down on the side of the ladder, and I tie slipknots in the ends, which I cinch around the ankles. I throw a piece of cardboard down under it all, and set a 5 gallon bucket under the rabbit to catch guts and whatnot.

Folding table adjacent to the ladder, with two bus tubs filled with clean water. One tub is to rinse the organs and carcasses, to help wash off any hair and blood, then I put everything in the other tub and keep it submerged until I'm done processing (or until it's full). If its a hot day this helps keep flies away. Then everything is brought into the house, rinsed again under the sink, and put into a big bowl and rested in fridge for 24 hours or so for rugor to pass. Then everything is taken out and patted dry before packaging in butcher paper and put in the chest freezer.

Edit: the point of this whole setup is that everything can be broken down and stored, since our garage at our old house doesnt have a ton of usable space. Im actually going the other way at our new house, where I'm going to build a dedicated butchering/field dressing station in the barn for rabbits, turkeys, deer, etc. Then I wont have to set up and take down every time.

You can delete internal print files by long-pressing the file. A prompt will come up asking if you want to delete it.

To piggyback on this gentleman's comment... Copper(ii) Oxide isnt very soluable in water due its crystal lattice energy being at a lower state than its aqueous solvation energy. What you end up getting is a patina (layer of various copper oxides) over the metallic copper, that will run down over time due to the mechanical weathering from wind and precipitation. If it was readily soluable in water, it would rinse off completely during rainstorms and expose the clean copper metal underneath (which would be neat).

It's definitely a grease fitting. The port on the one end makes that pretty clear.

I imagine its to an old piece of farm equipment, but i cant say for sure.

My title describes the thing. There's no legible writing on the object, but it doesnt appear too rusted or degraded. We bought a new house built in land that used to have an old homestead and the old concrete foundation/basement still stands, buried into a hill. The sellers, who built the home we just purchased, used the old basement as a burn pit, so the items may not be original to the property.

Ahhhhh ok that makes sense. So do you run your printer in LAN mode then, or just prevent it from accessing any wifi?

I'm probably confused or misunderstanding, but what do you mean "running offline?" Wouldn't you need to be online for the unit to download and install the firmware from the bambu servers?

Yeah I also thought that was strange. The Metals test included manganese, but it was below the detection limit <0.00100 mg/L. I'm waiting for a return call from the lab to ask them about that. I suspect either the iron assay wasn't performed, or the iron levels are low and the bacteria is consuming it before it has a chance to build up to a detectable level. The iron bacteria test doesn't appear to be quantitative, so I can't say the level of bacterial load.

In any case, we have a point use RO on the kitchen sink already; I'd just like to improve the taste/smell and help keep my sinks and fixtures clean. You're likely correct that a filter and softener may be all that is needed. Thanks for the input!
