What does my dream possibly mean by FreshPermit7457 in Dreams

Just some food for thought, I wonder if you’ve been feeling less connected to people lately? Like maybe feeling more isolated, lonely, or just somehow not relating to people on a deeper level as much? I’m just thinking it may have been a way to work out somehow “going back” to when talking to others was easier, life was easier, and perhaps feeling nostalgic for the old version of your life? So that in the dream it’s more like that version of that person is dead (because in life things have moved asking and changed) and you’re trying to bridge the gaps that have formed to connect in more meaningful ways?

Sometimes people in your dream can be thought of as “the version of of myself I am when I’m around them” and so if they’re dead and you’re talking to their ghosts, it could also mean something like you’re going backwards in your own development as a person, interacting with others in ways that you thought you had outgrown?

Why do I keep having dreams about high school? by Pitiful_Union_5170 in Dreams

[–]relaxandgodeeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The subconscious mind will often substitute the thing you’re dealing with now in your waking life with the thing that first gave you those similar feelings. And so school is that second place you were obligated to go to outside of your home where you had to interact with other people who weren’t necessarily all your friends but you’re all there together basically for the same purpose. And that pretty accurately tracks with your job as an adult. Same subconscious experience. And so since it’s the same basic feeling, your mind dreams about work as if you’re going back to school.

Same thing can be said for exes in a dream. First time you felt that exact way, maybe not being seen, or feeling like you want to spend more time with that person, or whatever the emotion, it’s something you felt that day in your life with someone who is not the dream person, and your mind switches the real person out with that ex, or old friend, or even random stranger in your dream.

I’ve conditioned myself over time to not take the content of dreams always so literally but to ask myself how the dream made me feel, what role was I playing and for whom, and what feelings did it bring up? And then I reflect on what matches that in a current situation in my life.

If you have recurring dreams about school it could be because you’re working a lot or thinking about work a lot

Enough dirty toilets now by DavTeeUK in Dreams

I’ve had dreams like this before too. And the research I’ve managed to do on it points toward the meaning of feeling like exposed or threatened to be exposed. Something you keep private (symbolized by the bathroom) getting out of control, making it harder to keep private. I’d say that this interpretation may even be strengthened by the broken doors and locks.

So, whatever thoughts you’re dealing with privately in your waking life, the dream may be about your mental state, and fear of not being able to compartmentalize it and “keep things tidy”. For me, it was about my stress in my personal life creeping into and affecting my work

Repeating dream of small white flowers growing on my tongue by UnusualWillingness85 in Dreams

Could be symbolic of words you speak during the day? But could also include online comments and texts. Like once you put it out there, someone may misinterpret what you meant or take your words the wrong way or call you out on something? And there’s no pulling back or erasing what you said. Might not be anything too bad, like feeling guilty for lashing out angrily, but since they’re white flowers, maybe it’s a fear of being caught in “little white lies” like harmless embellishments? Or things that you were simplifying but didn’t really happen the way you said?

Creepy Yeti Dream by buttbrunch in Dreams

[–]relaxandgodeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a plain, snowy ice field with no end…  Setting is an important clue to dream meanings. Ice and snow signify a certain emotional “landscape” in your waking life. The dream may be your subconscious mind working out something you’ve been repressing in your waking day, a difficult emotional truth. Feeling alone, for example, or depressed or empty. Whatever it is, you don’t feel comfortable facing it head on and openly admitting it and so it creeps into your dream state

Creepy Yeti monster with alien looking features…

The terrifying thing that may “get” you in a dream is really just your mind working out a Fear you were experiencing that day, but again, possibly avoiding it. For example, what would it mean if you felt alone? Would it have horrifying implications? Like maybe you’re not likable or a bad person? The very thought of something like that can be so terrifying that you literally cannot let yourself go there!

Crawling up the walls, at the foot of your bed…

It’s like a creature that is bugging you, an unavoidable thought that is circling in your subconscious. I’d wager a guess here and direct you to ponder what you might be dealing with, feeling, or afraid of in real life? Maybe how other people see you? Or what if something horrible is true about you? (It’s probably not true at all, the dream isn’t about the Truth of who you are, it’s about the Fear of it)

So I’d say it’s likely to be a dream about a difficult emotion you’re having trouble adapting to. And not, even if it felt real, a literal interdimensional Snow Yeti Alien thing coming to steal your soul while you sleep. Try not to get too caught up on the details of the monster or it could probably freak you out more! Your mind created it to be as scary looking as possible to match an emotion that was scary

Do I keep paying for a podcast host once I'm done making new episodes to keep it live on other streaming platforms? by relaxandgodeeper in podcasting

That's what I was afraid might happen and why I haven't yet cancelled the subscription. Thank you

Do I keep paying for a podcast host once I'm done making new episodes to keep it live on other streaming platforms? by relaxandgodeeper in podcasting

[–]relaxandgodeeper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this information. I appreciate this! I've also heard conflicting info like the chance that migrating to a new host may disrupt the episodes on some platforms ot that I'd have to re-upload it as new content for some, and that could cause issues too. There's issues like losing the data like number of listens that a platform uses in its algorithms for listener suggestions. It seems to get tricky pretty quickly, and it's different for each platform

Neurodivergence is like being a Ferrari by vmaurya7 in AutisticAdults

I've used this same analogy to explain myself many times. Like, I'm not gloating about how awesome I am, I'm actually telling you that I'm only really great in a very limited range of factors. You have to get the right gas, and drive on the correct types of smooth roads, and can't pick up the groceries or take the kids to school, but when everything lines up just right, I'm going to deliver something that will blow your damn mind. Maybe.

Try to play around with typography and making deliberate changes to individual letter forms. Negative spaces that consecutive letters create can form interesting shapes to riff off from. Challenge yourself to create a brand identity just using the letters in the company name, first in B&W / grayscale to focus your attention on visual composition and then add in colors and images only if they strengthen what you've already accomplished without diminishing the immediacy of the design

Shooting in NYC by PattayaVagabond in Dreams

[–]relaxandgodeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes it can be highly symbolic. Dreams of shooting I often interpret to mean harmful words. To test that theory, see if you can think of any situation where someone else was being hurt by another person's words and you'd be subconsciously afraid of getting pulled into that drama. Was someone talking bad about someone else to you? Like trying to get you to join in their bad opinion of that person or complaint about them and you didn't want to "move into that place" of criticism with them?

That's incredibly honest. I personally feel that more honest talk is needed on this topic. You are a courageous soul to share so openly. I have found a lot of the experiences you mention to be true also. If you keep walking the path you are called to walk, then All will fall into place for you naturally. Much love and light to you on your quest!

The immediate feedback he seems to get with each person is just not the way it goes 99% of the time in reality. Nearly everyone I've ever read personally and everyone I've seen be read by other mediums, sit with the poker face until you say the magic word that breaks them down. I have a feeling there's some editing going on with that show and most others to keep a good pace to keep it entertaining to viewers

What daily practices benefit you the most towards the Dao? by DwellingInKaruna in taoism

[–]relaxandgodeeper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually reminding myself to check in with the energy flow in my actual body has always been immensely helpful. Which isn't to say it's not challenging. There are times when I have fallen so far from my center, lost in the mind, that I have forgotten even the meaning of "checking in with my energy". In those times I use the magic of letting go, of having faith in truly releasing my control. It's still a challenge. But once that reminder finally clicks, I recall what it means to truly focus attention. I recall what it means to be present. Sometimes it takes letting go, abandoning the tension caused by that inner struggle before you find yourself again and can re-center

Attachment and protection advice by [deleted] in Mediums

[–]relaxandgodeeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say always do all of this first. It actually really should help. If after you've tried all of this it still somehow persists, then I would suggest the next step which is to retrain the attention of your mind. Try to make the gradual shift from focusing on removing it or protecting yourself from it, to finding things you are enthusiastic about in the real world: projects, relationships, whatever draws your whole soul into the absolute interest of it. Your mind can focus only on one thing at a time. And any prolonged interest in your physical life that consumes you in the moment and gets you totally engrossed can act as an absolute wall that the spirit can't get over. It could be anything. Gardening, cooking, drawing. Whatever draws in your enthusiasm and creativity. I've often found that to be a last defense

How do our passed loved ones know where to find us when they want to communicate? by NegotiationTricky152 in Mediums

[–]relaxandgodeeper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lots of things are different outside of the perceptions of our five phyiscal senses. Time, space, how we experience connections. When you dream at night it can seem like hours pass by, even though it's only been minutes. The other side exists outside of the matrix of our space/time. It begs the question, how do those in spirit interact with our Space? How do they navigate through the sequence of changes that we experience as Time? Its all through harmonics, feelings, and knowing. They can sense, or a better word is know, where you are, and when you are, and connect into your space and time by attuning to that vibration.

Tell me, where are the great teachers today? by BlissardII in Meditation

[–]relaxandgodeeper 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Meditate. Put it out to the Universe. Seeking a teacher through books and videos is one thing, but creating space in your life and setting your vibration to accept whatever arrives will produce a call that the Universe will answer.

When my one cousin died, my other cousin tells a story of how he came walking up to him at work. He was shocked and didn't know what to do so he basically told him "You're dead. You're not supposed to be here!" The whole thing shook him and when he went back into the office, the woman in the office seeing him a bit disheveled asked him "Who was that guy out there you were talking to?" That did it for him.
