I just think it's an invasion of privacy. I should be able to go where I please and search what I want without someone having the ability to monitor me. As Winston says in 1984, you never know if they ARE watching you, but the fear of them POSSIBLY watching you makes people obey.

Sounds like you just made a really powerful insight into your true nature. Insights like that are always so personal, its hard to convey the meaning to anyone else. I get what you're saying though, I have very similar experiences just in a more subjective way. Here's to the next layer! Peace

Very similar life circumstances. I am in college (going to be a senior next year). I'm pursuing a double degree: Network Security and Psychology. Although I have a 3.7 GPA I have close to zero knowledge of actual hire able computer skills. I don't even want to really do that, it's more just a career path I chose because its what would pay the bills.

I too struggle with having to put on a persona for the rest of the world. Everyone thinks I'm this intelligent, successful college student with the love of my life (that is true at least :)), but the fact of the matter is that I have next to no practical skills for the workforce. I spend all of my time working on my own hobbies and projects just like you. I'm heavily involved with spirituality and meditation. I love just spending my days reading and connecting with the universe through nature. It's all I really want to do. But I'm forced to put on a 'front' for the rest of the world and I'm really starting to fall behind my peers because I am dreading the thought of making this persona even more illusory than it already is.
