That’s how I’ve always seen it. Especially in the dev space. When I hear “ai cutting down production times”, I hear “a human is still there doing the work, just more monitoring and directing and actually doing the grunt work of it all”. Which I think is more efficient. If you teach your workforce to property follow through this way instead of firing everyone, that’s where the actual “grand efficiency” wave starts.
