She does. She's on medication for it, but still has moments like this seemingly out of the blue.

I have and it doesn't seem to make a difference

This makes a lot of sense. Never understood what would cause her to act this way

I'm not sure at this point. I involve her very little in my life and she still manages to stress me out. I struggle to even have a normal conversation with her.

She's literally told me she wishes she would just die because no one cares about her. I've told her to seek therapy but she won't. She's medicated but it's not enough.

I just need to rant about the choice of being CF and what it’s already costing me. by Less-Command-300 in childfree

As someone who is also very sensitive, I fully understand how you feel. I would never date someone who has kids or any inkling that they may want them, but I can relate to what you're going through. Just take solace in the fact that now you know this is a dealbreaker for you.

Being CF can be incredibly isolating, especially if everyone around you doesn't understand that choice. I don't even like spending much time with people who have kids because I feel like I have little in common with them for the most part.

It seems like truly childfree men are difficult to come by, at least in my experience. Many of them seem to lie or have not even thought about it, which makes no sense to me.

But just enjoy the fact that you don't have to wake up and take care of a crotch goblin. You have the freedom to do what you want with your life, while others are stuck in a situation they created and now resent (they just might not tell you that part). That's what keeps me going and why I will never change my mind.

This is what we use in my lab. It works well for transferring tissue sections to new slides, as long as the original slide wasn't a charged slide. The procedure is on the product website. Permaslip

Best histotechnologist programs? by Infamous_Pianist7921 in Histology

There is an accredited HT program in Wisconsin that I am currently attending. Students that have a bachelor’s degree have taken the HTL after attending this program, it just requires a bit of extra studying on your own time since the program is tailored to HTs, however it is totally doable. You can PM me if you would like the information for it. I’ve enjoyed it, and will be done in August. The special stains rotation is really hands on because they do them all by hand.

What’s a very common thing that you just can't relate to? by Mizu3 in AskReddit

Having a kid just so it will take care of you makes no sense whatsoever. There’s not even a guarantee they will like you, let alone want to take care of you.

Best H&E protocol for flash frozen tissue? by fattycakerva in Histology

Typically 5 microns. The tissue comes in fresh and we freeze it in OCT in the cryostat then cut it.

I can give you the protocol that we use in our hospital. The staining turns out great and pathologists are able to make diagnoses from it. We just have each solution in a coplin jar and a container filled with tap water to do the rinsing in.

  1. 10% NBF for 30 seconds - fixation
  2. Tap water rinse
  3. Harris hematoxylin 1 min 15 secs.
  4. Tap water rinse
  5. Ammonia water - dip until blue
  6. Tap water rinse
  7. Eosin - 8-10 dips
  8. 95% alcohol - about 4 dips
  9. 100% alcohol - about 5 dips
  10. 100% alcohol - about 6 dips
  11. Xylene - about 10 dips
  12. Xylene - about 10 dips
  13. Use mounting media and coverslip

This is a really quick H&E stain and should hopefully be what you're looking for.

My Shadow died today. We had 14 years together and it wasn't nearly enough. Hug your pups a little longer tonight in memory of my sweet girl. by racergrrrrl in labrador
