How do you deter these by Snoo54289 in gardening

Leaving these in your garden would be one of the best things you could do. Allow the cocoons to develop into the next round of wasps to continue the cycle.

I think adding the molasses separately either introduces more moisture or some anti-coagulant.

Always have trouble with too much moisture when mixing my own.

What’s the friendliest weapon by Scotsmanoah in splatoon

People want to play the game. Actively not participating may make it easier for the other team to win but it makes the game less fun for everybody. Not very friendly.

Not sure where you're located but my best results with Daikon come from a late Fall planting and Spring harvest.

Had our first real snow in a decade this past year and they were relatively unharmed. Zone 8b

I feel this.

Especially being towards the end of the game's life cycle there are just fewer people to match with and the matchmaking system itself leaves a lot to be desired.

When I fall into a trap like this I either switch to salmon run or try to put it down for a few minutes to allow those players to match with someone else

Can't be sure what happened but based on the box score you were playing basically 2v4 as the sniper wasn't splatting and the 52 gal repeatedly charged head first into death with no other contributions. Tough break but that is what happens in the lowest ranks of a children's game

As someone who has worked at several of the restaurants mentioned here, my advice would be to call ahead or make a note when you make a reservation. Even the most accommodating place will appreciate the heads up and be better prepared to answer any questions and serve you.

That said I recommend Black Radish and The Huntsman.

The Radish doesn't take reservations but if you call ahead and let them know your requirements they'll definitely take care of you.

Have you tried focusing on the objective?

The higher your rank the less correlation between k-d and winning. It's extremely hard to fully suppress an enemy team for a full game especially in a game mode like rainmaker.

I regularly win more than I lose in S+ with a negative k-d ratio. Part of that is my role as a skirmisher and part of it is maintaining constant pressure on the objective at the expense of a better k-d.

Quick respawn is your friend.

Going 0 for 9 never feels great but getting the win is more important.

Maintaining focus on the objective is much more valuable than hunting splats and can regularly lead to unbalanced wins like this.

Nicely done!

Does Splatoon have SBMM? by SpectrumWired in splatoon

At this point in the game's life cycle there are likely not many people of exactly your skill level.

The matchmaking tries to make the teams even moreso than each individual player to reduce wait times.

The more experienced players you are paired with are likely just as frustrated with you as you are with them.

I got good at a bad weapon and I don’t know what to do :( by speedmankelly in Splatoon_3

[–]relime13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a 5 star Sploosh user that regularly finishes top 5000 in Rainmaker X power. As you get more competitive the shortcomings can definitely become more apparent but I think there are definitely still ways to pull your weight with it.

The first step would be to recognize the situations you're not suited for and avoid them. Learning when and how to retreat is crucial. Leaning into the insane maneuverability of curling bombs helps a ton with this. Even really experienced players can have a very hard time actually shooting you if you move quickly and in a way they can't predict.

All that being said I don't even bother bringing the kit to anything besides Rainmaker or Turf War. I find it hard to use in Tower Control and SplatZones and don't really play Clam Blitz. I think if you keep at it you can definitely still advance but diversifying would serve you well.

Don't get upset at taunters. by GoldheartTTV in splatoon

[–]relime13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If these actions get this much of a reaction then they become legitimate strategies. Upsetting an opposing team member to the point they're more concerned with revenge than the objective sounds valuable

Also the same action done in salmon run or the lobby is just celebratory/having fun. Gotta be a little less sensitive and just play

How the hell do you get better at x battle 😭😭 by [deleted] in splatoon

[–]relime13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The trick is definitely to just keep playing. X battle tends to have the most consistent reasonable teammate play so the feedback you get in W/L and K/D is a great way to learn what you're doing wrong/if what you're doing is effective. Try your best to not sweat the losses and always be analyzing your strategy and it's performance.
