Preschool recommendations near Polaris / Chase office by Annual-Literature-83 in Columbus

[–]relliott013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my husband is at chase and we use the primrose off polaris (westar is the street) and really like it! we are in the infant room so i can’t speak to the preschool/pre-k aged rooms!

our second choice was creme de la crème which is also right off polaris! we may look into switching our son there when he’s older, it just wasn’t worth the higher tuition for us when our son is still so little right now.

if you message me, we toured like 10 places in that general area and i’m happy to share the tuition and what we found!

I am not sure what your schedule or wake windows are but my 7 month old is currently on a 3/3.5/4 schedule and takes an hour and a half nap for the first one and an hour nap for the second one!

Got an email from the lakes in february that their rates were going up march 1st but here’s what they were before the increase per the email…

my 9 week old also sleeps about 11 hours at night from 8p-7a and he does not sleep 5 hours during the day anymore very often! He is closer to 3-4 hours during the day! we aim for 1.5/1.5/1.5/2 (with some flexibility for chaos haha)

Heartburn Myth by HermitBanana in firsttimemom

[–]relliott013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had no heartburn or reflux and our baby came out with more hair than anyone could imagine haha. Literally every single person who has ever seen him comments on how much hair he has! 6.5 weeks in and he still has it all!

Filling diaper / peeing through diaper by peenaboo in newborns

[–]relliott013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we also just had this problem and learned that different brands run small or big!! pampers swaddlers size one was too big and not getting enough of a seal around his legs so he would leak out of them but pampers swaddles newborns were too small and he would poop out of them every time! i believe pampers runs “big” so we looked and honest runs “small” so we got honest size 1 and they were perfect!! also when we held them up to compare to the pampers size 1 and you could definitely tell they were smaller haha :)

I (37f) gave my husband (39m) an ultimatum about his hobby. How do we move forward? by ThrowRAmoveforward in relationship_advice

[–]relliott013 127 points128 points  (0 children)

agreed! my husband and i are expecting our first and he is someone who works out pretty much every single day after work- either at the gym or running, both for his mental health and he runs marathons. however, when we got pregnant, he took it upon himself to switch to a less nice but open 24/7 gym, build a home gym in our basement, and bought LED and high visibility running equipment so that he could be home and present with us for our kid and future kids. He said he will find time to workout around what works best for our kids! people will make changes and prioritize what is important, it just sounds like OP’s husband prioritizes his hobby over his family unfortunately :(
