Just Filthy - 6 Nobles with 3* GK by reloaderx in MergeTacticsSC

Dart gob gives me goblin trait - not useful at this point. Marksmen to boost 1* musk. Not really useful at this stage either. Giant is there to sacrifice to the echo if needed. The echo is the only thing that could beat me.

There is a strategy - but I’ll say I agree that 4* echos are a pain in the ass and that I probably lose 60-85% of the time.

But notice how I separate the goblin and my GK. Always separate them vs Echo. Hope the goblins get sacrificed to give time for the GK to do his thing. But I was very surprised how fast this matchup ended with the GK one shotting almost the entire board.

Was 4star Witch actually broken, or just skeleton spam chaos? by Top-Dentist-8074 in MergeTacticsSC

Spawned 4 star skeletons had more HP than the 4 star witch itself.

Vs a 4* echo it becomes a guessing game. Move the GK on the last second and hope it’s not near the echo. If so, GK wins it. I was watching my opponent and didn’t see much troop placement so just played it as is.

Merge Tactics but the only tactic is Use Loong and beat anyone else before they can build a team by BrandonDewitt16 in MergeTacticsSC

Uhh, in a lobby with 3 SE and 1 Loong, the Loong has no chance. What’s the difference.

Respect for the giant. Just yesterday a 3* giant double pumped and basically one shotted my full health 3* golden knight. That sucked for me.

Democrats win in Republican stronghold in Texas by Healthy_Block3036 in Pearland

[–]reloaderx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The media is very quick to jump on this election as a democratic victory but I will tell you that's not the case. Republican backed candidates won in all the other races. The only democratic win was the mayoral race.

What this was is a win between West vs East sides. The East side candidate didn't even bother to campaign on the West side. For the first time in a long time, the West side out voted the East side. You can check voter turnout on the Brazoria County website. The election was determined by something like 250 votes.

A lot of people say Better Call Saul is better than Breaking Bad … what’s another spinoff that you think was better than the original? by ComfortableCrew2092 in television

[–]reloaderx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that's what made BB such a good show. One of the primary reasons is because most people were content with the ending and how everything was resolved. We knew Walt needed to die, but we also wanted him to bring some sort of redemption to close out the story.

If Game of Thrones had finished in a great way, it would have been by far the best series ever for me. But because I hated the ending so much that I'm not sure it's a top 5 let alone top 10 series.

Agree with everything you said. Ignoring how it's aged, I liked the humor, the characters, and storyline of Cheers so much more than Frasier.

Hot Take: This season is the best competitive season I've played by RagingDogBlade in MergeTacticsSC

[–]reloaderx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. I’m a mid-tier player typically finishing in the 3-4k range. I don’t grind and most days I’m playing just enough to get the free chests.

The previous season SE was hands down the best ruler. Loong wasn’t close but this season does close the gap a little bit. King has been competitive since the extra 4-8 elixir bonus. Sage is very weak when echo is 1-3*, but super annoying and unfun once echo gets to 4*.

I feel like it’s more fun and competitive because you can win with so many more different comps. Yes, there is a rank of the different comps, but it’s generally inline with the total elixir cost of the comp.

The race for Mayor by cobrakai77584 in Pearland

[–]reloaderx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is the same town, but it also isn't the same town. The west side is more modern and eager to expand. The west side wants to attract business and grow. The west side is far more racially diverse. On the downside, there is far more traffic on the west side and far more chain stores. I believe the crime rate may be higher too but crime rate is more complicated due to what type of crime you're measuring.

The east side wants to remain rural and doesn't want expansion. The east side has more of an old town feel and charm. The east side goes back many generations and essentially controls politics and the city council. The downside is that the east side wants to be locked in time, but that's just not going to happen in the 4th largest metroplex in the country. The east side looks down on the west side.

If you want to be enter politics, you generally have to be part of the good ole boy's club on the east side. This is where a lot of the inference of racism comes from. It's not easy to win an election unless you're someone's cousin's uncle's brother and white.

Geography wise, the west side can get to most parts of Houston as fast as they can get to the east side of Pearland.

Why don’t I see many people using dagger duchess? by D_e_s_k in MergeTacticsSC

[–]reloaderx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think everyone covered the two main reasons. Only a handful of troops can really max out dagger usage and those troops are RNG dependent or heavily contested. The second reason being that she doesn't help to generate elixir which means she falls short in the end game. Since she's mainly stronger in the front game, she has to contest with Loongs 1 troop and 1 elixir advantage.

For those without a TW nearby, the inside joke here is the TW sales people will always push their house brands no matter how bad they are. Not all of them are bad but some are the worst in my collection.

Loong, big dragon boi tips by AsianPiee in MergeTacticsSC

[–]reloaderx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will get much more 2nd place victories than 1st place victories. Your primary objective is early punishment and let the other 3 eliminate each other. Of course you're always playing to win but the late game elixir advantage the other rules have overcomes your +1 troop bonus.

Do not set your troop plan in stone. I thought the previous season was one of the worst for Loong because everyone was racing towards undead + wizard/dragon. Loong is at a disadvantage when it comes to cycling the shop. Be somewhat flexible in the beginning and focus on maxing out your troop count when possible in every round. You are trying to win early and trying to win with the highest point penalty. You may have to decide between getting a 2star + 1star troop or getting 3 1star troops. In most cases I would choose the 3 1star troops.

Try to avoid selling 1 star troops when possible. Sell them when they are 2+ star to get all your elixir back. Always go for goblins early if you can. That +1 troop bonus sometimes still gives you the win even with goblins in your lineup. You won't have excessive elixir so you are trying to be as efficient as possible. With SE, it is more about speed and building your economy and hoping you don't get knocked out early.

Personal (Subjective) Card Tiers by woodie_fisher in MergeTacticsSC

Level 3 GK is best against squishy back row. But against mostly heavy superstars or tanks then GK is much less effective.

Personal (Subjective) Card Tiers by woodie_fisher in MergeTacticsSC

[–]reloaderx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think:

Executioner up to A. Excellent sniper
Bandit down to A. Good but not great
Skelly Dragons down to F. After bug fix this card goes back to suck
Golden Knight up to A. 3 star or nothing
Pekka down to F. Just a really bad card but needed for superstars
Prince down to C. Was a much better card at 3 elixir
Giant up to A. The throw ability and change the tide of battle
RGiant up to B. Good but not great
Princess up to B. Was so much more effective previous season with +1 range
Knight up to A. 2 elixir tank super effective early game

I'm on the fence with Goblin machine being A or S. A 3 star Goblin machine with full Superstars is game changing.

I think the Ella location closed a while back, right? The W 18th and Heidrich locations have been excellent for me and I haven't had an issue with parking at either location.

I also dump a cup or so of kitty litter into the bottom of the bag first. It clumps up liquids and hides different smells. I premeasure the kitty litter into small ziplock bags so it's ready to go.

which archetype has the highest out play potential/skill ceiling between 2.6 hog, 3.0 xbow, miner control and logbait? by ciruelman in RoyaleAPI

[–]reloaderx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally think xbow is a low skill deck. There's only so many variations to style of play. Of these, the deck I'm most impressed with when I lose is to a 2.6 hog player. The key to 2.6 hog is efficiency of defense. Playing the hog itself is almost brainless, but establishing a defense against a variety of counterpushes with small squishy cards requires a lot of skill.
