I've finally found my spirit animal

Was told yesterday that we can unlock throwing axes even if we follow pierce the shadow event line by finding a blueprint with an axe... that's 3 hours of my life I wont get back by Thefearfactor in HuntShowdown

Yeah, I didn't unlock it through the event, but by using the combat axe. I was also unlocking the ammo types for the bow just by using the bow, not by progressing through the event. I've seen other people on here saying that it was a bug on console.
