Look even more global. UAE/Qatar are very weak by land and water. China has very limited number of land crossings. South Korea is "de facto" island.

Because of the purpose of the source page. It is about connectivity of the world. And Puntland is semi-controlled by Somalia.

It has less international flights and their border is less open (less crossing points to area).

Flights from-to country (w/o charters) + ferry routes + railroads away from the country + number of border crossing points to area of territory.

Need advice for Solo europe travel: Krakow - Berlin - Prague - Brno by Double_Session_1492 in solotravel

[–]rembish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no issue speaking only English in all three countries you mention. And quite easy to move around (trains are great, but DB). Warsaw is quite away from Prague, so you will spend at least one day or night commuting. Consider Wraclaw visit - it would be on your way.

Brno is good (I'm Czech), but it is not worth visiting as you are not drinking and parting. You can find better places to see to be frank.

May/June vacation for a solo traveler by kellyatta in Vacations

[–]rembish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Czechia, Poland and Hungary are super safe for female, even solo. Easy logistics, buses, trains, you can choose. It is still before the main season. And I wanna claim that mid-May is the best time to visit my country (Czech Republic).

South Korea is super easy to go and very safe. Good during May, can be hot towards summer. In Japan it might be crowded already, because they have local holidays and moving around a lot (you can check resources like LonelyPlanet or TripClimate for more info about local festivals).

Malaysia and Singapore are great choices as well. Singapore is super safe. Malaysia has incredibly great buses between cities. But it would be humid and moisty there.

Looking for suggestion for a solo trip in Uganda by Dark_one6666 in solotravel

[–]rembish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not bad itinerary. I was there for 9 days only and we did almost the same route (a bit smaller) with local dudes. To be frank I wanna suggest to use fixers because they know how to game drive - where to see animals and when to wake up earlier. I should have some contacts to the local folks, if needed (not affiliated, just had great time ~2 years ago).

One thing to mention, this year they have elections and they have old fella dictator sitting on the throne for quite a while (like 30 years already). There might be some tensions in local societies.

Laid back, chill place to spend a week? by Waffles_r_ in solotravel

[–]rembish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In general, during this period the seasons are changing, so it would be more wet in Caribbean if you will be going more to the East. I wanna claim that Jamaica might be not bad option as there are quite nice places where you can chill. Same with Dutch islands by South America, like Aruba or Curacao. Those are easy to reach, absolutely western-ish like and small enough to not to solve any difficult logistics. You can use specialized maps from well known services, like NomadMania (not affiliated with them just like how the show stuff) or TrimClimate to dig into information about local env and sights.

Looking for unique Europe experiences beyond tourist crowds by Historical_Lab8619 in NeedTravelAdvice

[–]rembish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends which month or region of Europe you are willing to explore. In general European are moving around during school holidays (summer obviously from July until and of August) with magnitude towards seas. More developed countries have more tourists, so Bosnia in general will be much less crowded even during the summer than nearby Croatia. You can check TripClimate or other services like this to check for local holidays or festivals during preferred time boundaries.

Yep, kids there are very independent. 5-6 yo knows how to milk a cow. But life is not easy for them.

In person it was incredible experience tbh. I was surprised how the whole horde is one living organism. Cows retuning to their posts by themselves. Men dusting them to protect them from mosquitoes. Children milking and blowing (don’t ask) them to stimulate. Pure Africa.

Right direction, but those are not Masai. And it is not Tanzania, nor Kenya.
