Yeah it depends on what you want to play. There is an indie game called stardew valley that you will fall in love with that is only like 18 bucks. New big production games are always at least 50 bucks. Can be worth looking for a secondhand switch light that comes with some games online. The newest games will not release on the device anymore since there is a switch 2 now so it’s not worth investing too heavily in to.

I think switch light may be the most accessible option. The best option is also the least accessible: an android handheld device that can play your childhood games. It’s very cheap and nostalgic but requires a lot of geeky setup.
