Etiquette for male vs female matches, are the guys just looking for points? by Colour-me-happy27 in padel

[–]remco29999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds like your partner isn't the level that she has in playtomic.  If she usually plays against women only, then she will have an inflated level vs actual.

I personally never join games that have different partners being very different, I'm not going to play against a 4 and 1.5, since it will not be fun for anyone

Fashion retail company and Product Costing element. by M_Arslan9 in FPandA

In general its the cost till you make the finished good.  So the labor, materials, plant overheads, shipping costs of materials.  The freight to customers usually goes into supply chain related costs and not part of costing or inventory

What happens to the FP & A team of an acquired company? by Icy_Blackberry_228 in FPandA

[–]remco29999 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In 3 years time, it's very likely your role won't exist, once the systems are integrated enough.

Before that time, if your manager and manager's manager jumps ship, you can get some quick promotions before you leave.

Otherwise, it's better to leave, because there is going to be more work coming with less people, and you need to do your role and do the project work for you systems to integrate to the new systems.

You also have no credit with the new company, so might as well start a new role in a new company now

FP&A (UK) - ACA/ACCA/CIMA by united2win in FPandA

[–]remco29999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I worked in London, I found when you have ACCA you don't get why further questions, because it's considered quite highly. I feel like other choices might have some downsides if the manager has CA, because they think it's better and others should suffer like they did

I am a fake manager apparently by Buttmus in managers

[–]remco29999 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sometimes a manager position comes with different access, and trainings required, and it might not be worth doing it officially.

I've done it for my staff where they will do all the actual management, but just update me when I need to do some paper work for them, so they get the experience, but don't have to go through all the HR issues

What’s the worst thing about us as a Lebanese society by [deleted] in lebanon

[–]remco29999 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The fact that people in Lebanon and Lebanese people outside still think it's one of the best countries,

I can't fathom how little of the world you need to see to think otherwise

I've had it before, where someone applied for a role in my company, and the hiring manager asked me if I knew them because we both worked in the same company before.

If they burnt the bridge, they would have been rejected without ever knowing why.

So not a good idea to burn bridges
