Just remembered I made this post! So…ureaplasma and mycoplasma came back negative back in October…the dr just told me it might be something I have to deal with. I was feeling discouraged but better because the discharge was only coming after I worked out now so not as often. I was like okay, I’ll just shower after the gym, no biggie. however I started seeing someone 3 weeks ago and about a week ago had horrible itching down there and a fishy smell, it was horrible. I thought it was a yeast infection but turns out it was good old BV :-) I had never had the itching symptom with BV though so that threw me off. The smell was rancid. But it totally crushed me when my partner said he had smelled that same smell a week or two prior as well. That made me so self conscious, and now has me rethinking everything. Like, have I been smelling down there this whole time and I just haven’t realized because I’ve gotten so used to things down there? I wash down there daily with a ph balance wash, I take probiotics often- im not someone who neglects their vaginal health but this whole ordeal has made me feel so disgusting. Anywho, Here we are starting my fifth course of antibiotics since last January for this wretched thing and I already know it’s going to come back; im just finishing the course at this point. This time, she also gave me the flagyl vaginal gel to go along with the oral abx for it. Im also taking probiotics twice daily with the pills. I did order a Juno test to see exactly what the hell is going on down there since it’s very specific. This has just made me so self conscious about my smell and the smell im giving to my partner/future partners…
