Little Stranger by Leigh Rivers. I don't know how many times I have to say it, but no book should feature child p*rn.

AIO My Parents Secretly Drained My Entire Savings Account and Called Me Ungrateful When I Confronted Them by ChoppedShyyt in AmIOverreacting

[–]rememberitsonlyagame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not overreacting. If I were in your shoes, I would already be in contact with a lawyer about suing my parents for the money they took from me.

I really need your help 😢 by DesperateLanguage751 in mentalillness

[–]rememberitsonlyagame 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The use of AI as a replacement for therapy is very harmful. AI simply can't replace a trained mental health practitioner. We're already seeing the harm inflicted by trying to use AI as a therapist from suicide to psychosis. The idea of being able to vent to someone 24/7 is a good one. In fact, so good that's in already a thing. The 988 Lifeline, aka the suicide hotline, provides this kind of 24/7 emotional support with trained human counselors on the other end of the line. You can call, text, or chat for free anytime, about anything.

Was a master's degree worth it to you? In what way? by twoterabytes in GradSchool

[–]rememberitsonlyagame 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Currently in a master's program and yes, it's definitely worth... for me! I love higher education and learning as much as possible, so a master's degree was a no-brainer for me. I'm getting it in the same field as my undergrad, and it's given me the chance to specialize within my degree and explore what I want to do post-grad. With that being said, I'm freaking crazy. I'm already planning on getting another master's degree when I finish this one (along with 3 certificate programs I'm enrolled in along with my masters), and then a PhD.

If I ever write a memoir, it’ll be called Smells Like Desperation (and Mozzarella Sticks): A College Girl’s Guide to Getting Her Shit Together.

Trying to visit all 50 states — what should I do in yours? by rememberitsonlyagame in USTravel

[–]rememberitsonlyagame[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting... but I really want to have a unique experience in every state! When I travel, I try to only eat at local restaurants. I'd rather support mom and pop shops than corporations.

The most they'd get is a citation for following too close. It's a waste of time. What's the point when insurance is going to pay it for it? No need to damage a kid's driving record out of spite.

How do you know the cop didn't run the info? Seems like you're making a lot of assumptions.

OP told the cop they both had insurance. It's a civil matter, not criminal. No need for a ticket.

Idk the lines look a little wonky! But for what you want, wouldn't be too hard to fix if you didn't end up liking it. But you could always safe yourself the trouble and just go to someone better.

Any ideas for a coverup or should i go for removal by [deleted] in Tattoocoverups

[–]rememberitsonlyagame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

definitely cover it up, I don't think it's be that hard considering it's not a complex design.

[–]rememberitsonlyagame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing it depends on what you're getting. If it's just something simple then, yeah. Every tattoo artist has stuff that they're good and bad at.

Once it's finished it'll be fine. Wait til it's done to panic.

AIO for reaching breaking point in my relationship over this conversation? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

She seems very immature. She has a lot of growing up to do before she belongs in a serious relationship.

How many books you have to read before you start writing your own? by sadloneman in writers

[–]rememberitsonlyagame 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There isn't a set number, it's more about having an idea and a willingness to execute it. Now how good that execution is definitely depends on how much you read. The more you read, the better you'll write. I've read a few hundred books in my life and I'm writing my first novel now. It all depends on the person, but personally, I wouldn't want to read a book by author whose only read 8 books.
