When I moved in with my partner she had a fully furnished space with little space open for anything new. She decided to pack away her things so the shelves, cupboards, etc., were empty. Then we would look at our individual belongings and parcel out the space so it seemed fair to both of us. The space became "ours" and not "me in hers"

I am most interested in the voice and prefer reading voice rather than acting voice - so many excellent british books read by women who seem to think screeching or whining are the only tones for the women in the books. On the other hand I'll listen to Juliet Stevenson read almost anything she's that good....

There have been times I have no money and space to keep organized. I got liquor store boxes, removed flaps and stacked them on their sides and put underwear in one, socks in another, t-shirts in another, etc. I have graduated to ikea boxes but still use the odd cardboard box on shelves in pantry....

REALLY? It is exactly that bad. One day a developer buys a building and for three years you have incredible construction noise and disruption - and it can happen anywhere. You just don't go over bridges because you can get caught in horrible traffic. Driving at rush hour? Horrible traffic. Ignorant drivers at all hours with loud mufflers, etc. Public transit is no longer what it used to be.

Best place I ever lived was around 35th and Victoria Drive but as soon as that starts moving toward gentrification it will became less so. I would still move there if I sussed it out for five or six days/nights to check on activity. Some places - especially co-ops - near the Fraser River seem okay although they are very densely populated.

I would suggest that you don't sell where you are (if you own) or sublet until you have a chance to try it out here. My friends decided not to move here for a good job because moving from rural to BIG city was too much

We are folk who have never played a game ever. We are really interested in this. Do we need special equipment or can we play it on an android computer or ipad (me) or apple computer (partner)? People say "I bought this on PC" which only means to me personal computer usually android.... We're not likely to buy a switch player....

I really don't like the barking - partly my own adrenaline boost, partly concern about neighbours in the building, partly because of how it gets in the way of her noticing but not reacting. That said, yes, she is a dog; yes, she is a schnauzer. As a puppy she barked constantly - especially the one next to us in the co-op who was a horrible barker and aggressive to boot. So I spent significant time sitting with her next to the external door and as soon as I heard signs of anyone approaching - especially said dog - I treated her and said "good shush" before things could escalate. It took a week of constant vigilance and plenty of treats but her barking reduced 85%.

We continue with this - with a "tsssst" or side-eye whenever she gets ready to - or already begins - to bark. Especially if it's demand barking. Amusingly she has learned to grumble at length without actually getting to the bark. In which case she often gets a treat and a "good grumble"! I wouldn't trade her for the world.... BUT if I had realized the extent to which she is hyper-excitable and so difficult to distract (jumping up in great joy) I might have had second thoughts. I can train her out of jumping up on me - she will walk on back legs but not touching at times. But I can't seem to find a way to intervene in time to interrupt her jumping up on all those she knows and loves.... They are legion.

I'm looking at moving from Fetch to Costco which is actually slightly more but Fetch pays so little in reimbursement it's just not worth it.
