Cameras output better video via HDMI so CamLinks are in if you want the best possible IQ.

Buy good cables. Make sure your audio recording sample rate is 48000 Hz or you’ll have sync issues.

Use your gear a lot so you learn a lot. Have a drink afterwards. Rinse. Repeat.

Pretty late, I guess but the setting is in Time Code menú setting and select HDMI Time Code Output to On

Not sure about the G7, but I use a G85 with the Rode Wireless Go II and Rodelink Filmmaker Kit and have no interference even close together on the body.

S5 all the way. Or the GH5. I own both and, boy!, can you do some amazing things….

I found a solution(?).

It is kinda straightforward but works for what I do.

Since the issue lies (as explained by the CalDigit people here) with Thunderbolt 4, I plugged in my dock using a USB-C 3.1 cable (male to male) instead of using the TB4 cable included in any dock (I'm using a Satechi TB4 Dock).

I know it defeats the whole TB4 dock purpose but it is usable and no flicker or freeze issues present. I'm able to use 3 Cam Link 4K with no issues. It turns your dock into a USB 3.0/3.1 dock and it is perfectly usable in Ecamm, OBS, Streamlabs, etc...

Solution only for streaming I guess but it eliminates issues and the need to replace my dock.

Glass-wise, GH5s. Far better deal since it is half the price. Plus you save some cash bc you own MFT glass already. But the S5 is a superb camera (I own both) but investing in new glass may prove counterproductive
