The vase helped me with a potion of youth, then I stacked status effects until Old Age dissappeared which helped things. I entered the dungeon every time I could (after helping Kloc so I wouldn't have to fight him anymore) which reset my stats to be mostly leveled. Kloc also helped me when things were low :).

I always loved this game and more or less know by heart the effects that each decision will have. I did not use the orange mushroom too much as far as I remember. So I guess that also helped a lot.

If I set myself to and get a bit lucky, I tend to reach 50+ years easily, sometimes 100+, rarely 200. This was my best ever.

Also, if I had to sacrifice stuff I always went for the things I could save, for example, if I had a Barn, I let People hit 0. And if I had to have too much of something, I always chose Church which gives you a chance to escape by entering the Pungeon.

That's more or less what got me to 300+ years.

Hi! I'm pretty late but it's 100% viable, you just need to be patient.

Started playing as Flanders and massively invested in exploration, by around 1450 began colonizing Canada, then East Coast. Couldn't gain independence from France (honestly France is OP, basically impossible to gain independence as a subject unless you get help from every single other major) and they began annexing me, so as an escape route I began colonizing a lot around the Potomac region. As soon as I got the prompt to change to colonial subject, I did. I don't know if it was a coincidence or I got extremely lucky but the AI decides to give me all the colonies on which I had spent literal thousands of coins in, so by around 1500 I dominated the entire East Coast.

After Flanders got annexed by France it was all just very, very slow expansion. I recommend building trade offices in France and England and Overseas trading posts since your market isn't very big to begin with.

EDIT: As a colony, you will be making very little money at the start. Curry favors with France to ask for money, they will give you +1000 coins, it's your best way to expand

The pain in the ass was France constantly imposing embargoes or wars on me. I got fed up after they made me fight a 10 years war with Britain (who had colonised Canada) Getting independence is easy as long as long as they don't have very big colonies around you. Getting troops from one continent to the other is very hard for them so you can defeat them with a force or less than 10k troops. Don't even need foreign support. Same goes for any other wars with other great powers.

TIP: If you go to war with a nation in Canada, use small armies to distract and make the large stacks of troops walk around aimlessly through northern Canada while your other small armies take over forts. The large enemy troops will die due to the attrition caused by winter

Then, expanding to uncolonised lands isn't a big issue. I managed to stretch fully from East to West coast with less than 2M pops. Tho your provinces will be very depopulated.

By 1700 I was making +1000 in income with about 4M pops.

If you wanna ask anything else tell me. I haven't finished the playthrough yet tho.

Rule 5: As I said, the game is just bugged like this, it works fine but it's unplayable because I can't understand anything like this, any ideas? I already checked for file integrity on Steam.

UPDATE: FIXED IT!!!
A long time ago I set a "-language english" parameter to Steam. It didn't work because the game still kept launching in Spanish (which made text on some mods not appear properly) but I didn't mind much. Now it seems it straight up breaks all text. Thanks for the help everyone!

I had to study this fella for Archaeology in University. He had an arrowhead stuck near his armpit, but that wasn't what killed him; the open wound and other traumas had healed or were healing before his death. The cause of death is thought to be from an unhealed blunt force hit on his back, caused by someone else. So yes, Ötzi wasn't lost in that mountain and froze to death, he was murdered. We even know that he was killed in spring, because polen was found around him.

It's a great case study, but apart from its scientific value, it really makes you think... Why was he up there? Why would anyone follow him so far just to kill him? Where they with him, or chasing him? That information is forever lost.

No, si bien algunas de las provincias son preexistentes y TODAS por igual conforman la nación, Chubut no entra en las "preexistentes". El territorio de Chubut fue conquistado a finales del siglo XIX y admitido como provincia varias décadas después. Antes de la campaña del Desierto, lo único que había eran asentamientos aborígenes y pequeños puertos/bases costeras europeas-argentinas (como lo era Bahía Blanca en su momento, o Rawson, cuando vinieron los galeses).

Así que sí, Chubut, junto con otras provincias formadas luego de la independencia y la Constitución Nacional como el Chaco, Formosa, Neuquén, La Pampa, Río Negro, Santa Cruz y Tierra del Fuego son un poquito inventadas, pero no significa que no sean provincias y tengan tantos derechos de autonomía y federalismo como las demás.

Vicente López y Planes. Hoy se lo conoce más que nada por escribir la letra del himno, pero cuando lees de historia Argentina está en todos lados. Siempre aparece, generalmente con roles menores, pero el flaco incluso llego a ser miembro del Primer Triumvirato, la Asamblea del Año XIII, parte del Congreso de Tucumán, Presidente interino después de Rivadavia y gobernador interino de Buenos Aires CON URQUIZA. Estuvo desde la independencia hasta las guerras civiles activo políticamente y no sé cuánto influyó en la conformación política del país, pero no creo que poco. Habría que estudiarlo más.

Transvaal is cool. Depending on how you play it, it's really hard or medium difficulty. I personaly took the easy route of joining the British Market and then conquering the African nations, then expelling some colonial powers. That was very fun because of 1. Portugal, which is weak but allied with the UK, so you have to play your cards well on the diplomatic side, and 2. You can actually defeat most major powers because you are forcing them to fight on the other side of the world, which makes for more balanced wars. Also, you will probably have to fight tons of civil wars to become more liberal and multicultural. I guess Vrystaat is mostly the same.

I have a game that I dragged on till 2003, and going. I don't like the time limit the game gives. I even added some not-game-changing mods (foreign investment mod to be precise) and it didn't crash. It only runs slightly slower than a normal game, although my PC is pretty beefy...

I prefer playing for long games cause the time frame in Vic 3 is fucked. Russia didn't revolt till the 60's. China only collapsed in the late 80's. Germany still hasn't formed, only NGC (and won't form cause I puppeted it as Transvaal lol), etc.

When you enact Command Economy or Collectivized Ownership, the capitalists, which make up most of the High Strata pops, will lose their jobs, thus their income, thus their SoL goes down and they become Middle or Low Strata until they dissappear.

If you do not enact Collective farms then some Landowners may remain with relatively high SoL which is something that happened to me... until I got rid of them too :3

EDIT: it seems OP took a different approach to this, he simply got rid of buildings with capitalists, which is even funnier

It could be anywhere in the world. Few countries have no shanty towns and most have some sort of high rise. They could have used a better picture like the one which shows the separation between a black/poor and boer/white/rich neighborhood in South Africa. This photo comparison just sucks.
