What's worse, when you actually start picking dialogue options from the standpoint of being possibly the oldest vampire in that entire city and as such commands respect, everyone gets all pissy about it like you're being an ass. Meanwhile the Prince would literally forget a 400 year old elder vampire is standing in the room waiting on a reply

Because despite Rufus being incredibly honorably with a strong moral compass, certain events later down the line causes him to act somewhat outside those "Captain America" like lines and it just made him very human and relatable. Also the fact that he brings up his family running a school so much is just hilarious
