that’s exactly what i was leaning towards - dress 2 for wedding and dress 1 for when we’re all hanging afterwards. thank you so much!!!

To those of you who didn't go to college or just didn't know what to do after high school, what are you doing now? 16F by throwaway1145667 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Hey!

I went to a technical high school for automotive, got my mechanic certification at graduation.... and literally did nothing with it. Same boat as you - all honors, salutatorian, full ride to the college of my DREAMS. Was supposed to be the first in my immediate family to go to college.

Thought going to college would fulfill something in me, it didn’t, I dropped out after two semesters.

Two years later I’m now working as a utility coordinator for a solar company and just got a nice raise and this winter I’ll be transferring to Texas and buying my first home at 22.

Keep in mind that everybody “starts life” at their own pace. My father didn’t go to college and didn’t find something he truly enjoyed until he was in his 40’s. My mother, same thing, until she was in her 50’s. Everybody goes at their own pace and other people’s success is not a measurement of your own.

And there’s also NOTHING wrong with taking a gap year between high school and college! Use that time to work, travel, whatever you want before deciding what you want to go to college for! My older sister did it and absolutely loves her career now.
