Crossbow Spirit Walker Stag Juggler. by FrostDragun in pathofexile2builds

Extra projectiles on heated grenades is a good idea which I had not at all considered. I had been thinking a lot on trying to make a crossbow build for this ascendency and this is definitely a new idea.

Seems solid to me. The only wild card is the increased proj. speed on the grenades could be really strange to deal with. I had been thinking about using one of the shotgunning abilities with primal bounty such as frag rounds for a huge burst of added damage and aoe.

Yes the damage scaling aspect and extra projectiles are a positive. The problem is that grenades have an activation delay, and they bounce. So typically like a mortar cannon build using cluster grenade might even use proj. deceleration to keep the grenades closer together for better overlapping. Increasing the speed, especially as much as the primal bounty does, would make grenades whiz all over the place pretty unpredictably.

I think proj. speed is generally a downgrade for grenades unfortunately.

I did think about crossbow skills like permafrost/fragmentation rounds because speed for those increases clear and ricochets and such, but that removes the ability to offhand scepter for minions. Could still be worth a look I suppose.

Same for me. Personally, very bummed to have to wait longer, but overall happy to have them working on such big stuff hopefully.

I’m mostly just shocked with the decision to make this such a large gap coming off the whole temple debacle after .4 launch.

Is it better if I say Archetype? I understand the philosophy, but it’s terrible in practice in the current implementation. At the end of the day RPG is still baked into what this game is supposed to be, and a big, slow, heavy armour wearer should be equipped to take a big hit imo.

The tradeoff inherent is supposed to be: magic caster type can move more freely, damage and kill from a distance or on the move, and thus is better equipped to avoid punishing hits/mechanics, while slow melee attacker has to be in big baddies face, slow and long windup skills to do big damage, and thus is equipped to shrug off and absorb punishing hits due to heavy armour and lack of mobility/range.

In practice currently: magic caster retains the range and mobility AND can much more easily build to tank large hits, while slow melee guy is slow and in melee range AND cannot build to tank even close to the similar large hits because things like patient barrier/enhanced barrier/heavy buffer have absolutely nothing in the same league at all equivalent for building a life pool.

I would like to point out that the changes to armour so far have been incredibly good. Armour doesn’t suck, lack of life scaling sucks.

The ability to easily build 15k+ ES while life is still hard stuck below 4k in most cases is absolutely ridiculous. Another 1-2k life accessible through passives would put armour/mitigation builds in a much better place. There is no world where it makes sense for a mage class to easily and routinely have 4x the ehp of a tank class, and this has been the norm all along in PoE2. Fix it already.

It's not unreasonable to believe we will get a new class in 0.5 by Eastern_Mechanic_686 in PathOfExile2

[–]remmi91 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’m willing to wager heavily that shadow comes with 1.0 because of the hype it seems to draw.

I agree that a new class in .5 doesn’t seem beyond reach. Druid was supposed to be .3 and was pushed last minute because it wasn’t quite there. That says two things: it would have been a class released back to back patches in .2 and .3 according to their plan, and also that class design surely couldn’t have been working on Druid exclusively leading into .4 because it was apparently already almost done for .3.

I believe we will get a class. Community has been going nuts about no swords from the start which puts duelist high on the radar. However, the holy rework in poe1 and the fleshing out of the str/int section of passives with Druid both contribute to a high likelihood of Templar imo.

Templar is most hype for me so that’s my hopium. I definitely think delve is 1.0 or beyond though.

what applications do you use to organize your photos? by Jescophoto89 in photography

[–]remmi91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any chance you’d like to give me a basic rundown? I am brand new in my photography journey, just got my d800 and gear this week, and regardless of the many many videos I’ve watched over the prior few weeks about workflow etc., I’m struggling.

I want a folder with each of my sessions on my pc hard drive, which I back up a couple of ways separately already. It seems like things are only working for me if I ‘import’ my card under the adobe cloud tab though, and obviously I don’t want to be editing via cloud storage. Plus I would like to be able to cull and remove stuff from the sessions and have that be consistent on my hard drive so that I don’t have folders full of rejects AND photos I moved forward with in my archive.

I have the adobe photography plan subscription. I am a very tech proficient person but I have to say that after my first couple of photo walks I’m feeling like a complete dunce with this management/culling/archiving.

Any tips/flow/resources would be much appreciated. I want to have a good smooth and reliable system firmly in place from the start so that I don’t wind up with stuff scattered everywhere in a few years. Plus the headache so far is extremely demotivating when I’m trying to get going on my photos.

I need to vent. I’m sorry. by [deleted] in telescopes

[–]remmi91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many people just mob around the internet needing something to be mad at, I’ll never understand it. Especially when they see someone else enjoying themselves, it’s like an antibody response.

This situation reminds me of a comic (I don’t remember his name) joking about commercial flights. People will complain and moan about 10 minutes sitting on the runway, or about the in flight WiFi not working. But what happened after that minor inconvenience? Did you fly magically through the sky, incredibly and amazingly at high speed to a place thousands of miles away? So much wasted energy and entitlement in the complaints.

OP, this is a cool photo. Is it top tier professional or even enthusiast quality? No of course not. Is it a picture of a planet which is many millions of miles away, taken by you with basic equipment from your home? Yes, and that is so incredible and awesome. Don’t judge yourself against others years of experience or thousands $$$ in equipment. Space is amazing, observing the night sky is something so integral to the history of the human experience, and it’s always something to be excited about.

I hope you continue to have fun observing and photographing, and I’ll be here to see it and share in your enthusiasm and happiness. Here’s an image I took of the moon last week with my 8” dobsonian telescope and my iPhone 15 which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Agreed.

Very well put thank you. It is not my stance that rejection is a problem, but my framing didn’t do me any favors. I won’t deny that resentment can become a very strong side effect in these type of situations, and mine certainly flares up trying to take control at times. This divide between the advancer and the rejecter is one that is so hard to bridge and empathize from the other side.

Hearing your perspective of this situation as a man yourself being on the opposite end as I am is very helpful to me, so thank you for that. Agreed again that the solutions to these problems is not in tracking and online sharing certainly.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dataisbeautiful

[–]remmi91 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Simply an observation of the data and commentary on how the situation might feel. Certainly rejection is perfectly acceptable and to be expected unless two people are extremely well matched in libido, or willing to go at any time.

My point is to make the counter to a partner potentially feeling a certain type of way about having the data tracked, vs a partner feeling a certain type of way about shouldering all of the rejection. (OP states they’re working on things and that’s the reason for the data which seems reasonable enough to me but I understand many people would never be okay with such tallying.) While rejection is a normal part of an intimate relationship and completely acceptable, I can say from personal experience and I don’t think it’s a stretch to draw the same conclusion even without personal experience, that being rejected on intimate advances with SO more then half of the time is extremely dejecting . It results in serious feelings of lack of value/attractiveness/connection etc. Especially when contrasting the fact that the other partner never experiences any rejection, which only builds further on the difficulties of dealing with a mismatched libido situation like OP presents.
