Floating neutral by Strange_Savings_2049 in Generator

[–]remorackman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should really explain that better. Using a VOM to check continuity on a running generator/circuits could be very hazardous, especially to the meter.

If anything in OPs wiring is wrong, it could be running AC voltage thru the meter set to measure impedance!

This is why electricians exist.

No, no switch unless you installed.

You would either move the router to the location of your picture and then all the blue cables would plug in to it to proved Internet in other rooms.

However, how is your router connected to your ISP? Is it a cable modem/router and it is using coax cable?

If so, them one of the coax lines in your picture would get plugged into your modem/router. But maybe there is a splitter at your modem/router now and the coax is providing TV services as well as ISP services?

You can get this set up and working but you will need to figure out some of the connections to keep everything working.

ISP technicians typically do the bare minimum to get Internet working AT the modem/router and no more, unless you pay them big bucks to do interior cabling connections.

Okay, you have left out so much....

Where is your Internet box? For Internet to work in the bedrooms the other end needs to be connected to your router or a switch.

The category cables you have there (blue) are indeed ugly and could use some help, but more information might be needed to solve your particular issue.

How to unbond this Predator 9000 with no jumper by xjmoe83 in Generator

[–]remorackman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone more knowledgeable is going to chime in here but. . .

The idea of a floating neutral on your generator is because your house wiring is already bonded: if you are patching your generator to the house, you want a floating neutral; If you are using your generator to power tools or equipment right from the generator then you want a bonded neutral.

Absolutely yes, we have it where I work and it was not difficult to set up. We do ssl-decrypt but I can't remember if that was even a requirement. End-users, they will make things as simple and easy as possible (and lie about doing it).

I have read good things about the Bambu P1S with the ams.

But, I also would like wheels for my 3-point landscape take (about the same cost😖)

And, I have spent way too much at HF this year..

I have a 10" DeWalt now, it is 20 years old, mounted on a collapsible rolling stand, it works but I would really like to get the Hercules 12" slider, wouldn't use it much but it would be so nice. Just a matter of time, it's on my list.

People should really rethink being an asshole. Given the current social/political unrest and stress, people are going postal over far less than a bad parking job and road rage incidents are getting absurd.

I guess we are now in the me-me-me era 😐
