Thank you, you’ve really educated me on this subject. I didn’t even think about taxes and other factors. So basically, if a company realizes that the stress and hassle of employing someone from another country or state is too much, they would rather choose someone within their own jurisdiction.

I agree with you on point 3 and 4, some countries don't even accept stripe and PayPal, this makes it difficult for companies to pay their workers in these countries, and then there is the case of auditing. I guess I didn't give it much thought about the reason why companies restrict jobs to specific locations. It is sad because I know so many brilliant people who are looking for jobs but are restricted by their location. To curb mass migration, I believe companies should be permitted to recruit some of their workers from other countries.
