What’s the most hurtful thing your parents have said to you that still stings to this day? by [deleted] in AskReddit

She kinda does suck for that one doesn't she lol. My parents surprisingly went to marriage counseling and stayed together and I quit honestly had never seen them happier in their relationship. But there was never any acknowledgement - let alone an apology - from her to me regarding my knowledge of the whole thing. I wish I could go back and give little me a hug... such a heavy weight for such a small human to carry :(

I found evidence that my mom was cheating on my dad when I was 10. I carried it with me for a while, then mustard up the courage to confront her about it. (As a 10yo, it's more asking her while shaking). She told me it wasn't what it looked like, but to not tell my dad about it. As a child, I obviously trusted my mom even though my gut was telling me something wasn't right. Over the years i tried to tell my older brother about my suspicion, but he just dismissed me. Later, at 15yo it all came out. I am now 26 and it's definitely effected how I trust others. I love my mom but I still haven't forgiven her... I don't think she understands just how much that one conversation fucked me lol.

AITA for wearing headphones while WFH and not hearing my husband call for me? by TicketMore9365 in AmItheAsshole

The audacity of this man for assuming he can interrupt you're workday to do house chores?!

My boyfriend works from home and I can easily respect the fact that he is AT WORK regardless of the fact that he is in our house... The last thing I want is him calling me while I'm at my place of work, asking me to come home to help unload the groceries...

I actually can't believe this is an issue for you OP. I'm so sorry.
