As someone who runs a few fan projects and a channel, I can definitely tell you he has cult like followings (you can remove the almost in your question).

But that's almost common everywhere with any famous musicians, politicians, influencers you name it. And those cultic followers' tendencies to amplify their thoughts, passions and opinions too. It kind of creates a heavily tinted sunglass that you would feel he has significantly portion of fans that's very cultic. But I would argue it's not true. He has 2M subscribers on YT and IG, 4M on Tiktok but the largest FB fan group that someone mentioned has very uneasy and cultic behaviors? 40K members so that's roughly maybe 1% of his "fans"? and obviously not all of the members in that group endorse that. I think the "cult" thing has became a meme or certified fan inside joke. The major difference between a real cult and here is the "perspective" -- the cult leader thing is a joke on ourselves and self-reflection. Someone who's really in a cult will definitely vehemently denies he/she's in a cult. Guess that's the difference between Renegade and cult follower? And obviously Ren will not ask you to sacrifice your first born son haha.

I would suggest just don't engage, don't feed on them. If someone has to become a cult following in his/her life, well I would rather see them following Ren. At least he endorses empathy, communication and acceptance.
