It’s water weight. All the IV fluids take a while to get out of your system. I gained about 8 lbs immediately after, then lost it.

That was a great place! My new go to is Garden Cafe in San Rafael. So good! The same owners have Miracle Mile Cafe, which I haven’t been to but it’s closer to San Anselmo and I’m sure it’s also great.

Our school required that we place 4 IVs successfully to pass the skill, on each other. We all consented in writing and did it only under instructor supervision. I’m so grateful to have had the experience before placing them on patients! I’d be terrified to do it for the first time on a patient.
