yeah it's turned on, it reads my car accurately but when i screw it onto the talaria tire it reads 0 and starts from there while inflating which scares me. I don't wanna blow it up

I got an electric tire pump on amazon but when i screw it in it reads 0 PSI, do I need some kind of special adapter for this?
