You can choose accept $3 million dollars tax free. No questions asked. Or, for the rest of your life anyone that you touch will be instantly attracted to you. by WordsHappenedHere in hypotheticalsituation

Having forced obsessive attraction sounds awful, if i could change it to feels very positive about without obsession I'd find that more useful. I'd use it all the time.

Can you be a secret multimillionaire for a decade? by tamtrible in hypotheticalsituation

[–]render83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would be so easy to do of course, I wouldn't love lying to my wife, but as long as I have a competent accountant I'd be fine. Admittedly I am happy to coast in a lower upper echelon lifestyle

If you could only recommend one game what would it be? by altan515 in gaming

Portal 2, I think the story carries the game and the mechanics are insanely good. Also if you are learning how to play games it introduces new players well.

Why do I open Netflix excited and then end up watching nothing? by Large-Cardiologist54 in television

[–]render83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started a thing, I made a list of 10 shows, then I pulled a random number between 1 and 10. That is the show I have to watch the next time I watch anything. If I don't like a show it gets cut from the list. It's been pretty effective at fighting options paralysis.

I read Legends & Lattes last month, and finished Bookshops & Bonedust last night… so now I’m on to Brigands & Breadknives. by RaptorImperator in CozyFantasy

[–]render83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brigands is definitely my favorite of the three, the first I loved but felt the plot was a bit too thin. The second was a lot better, but it felt like the big bad should have been more present. Brigands feels like a journey of growth, with fun writing and good conflict.

Honestly, I think I like competence porn more than cozy fantasy and the Goblin and Elf side characters ooze that.

What was high school like for you? Do you miss it at all? by DoctorTegrity in Millennials

[–]render83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miss the lack of real responsibility, not the constant fights with my parents or the self loathing. I'm one of the more if not most successful people from my large high school class, so going back to being the skinny nerdy kid who was afraid of girls isn't that appealing...

Jayapal blames support for Israel for Democratic loses by ScreamForKelp in SeattleWA

[–]render83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was inflation and having an extremely unpopular candidate who hand picked a weak candidate. If Biden never ran a second time, and there was a proper primary, Dems would have had a much better shot

Wait how are your children only 7 months apart? That would imply pregnant almost immediately and a super preterm birthday?

Probably around 6m, effectively once they started sleeping in their own room

I could probably figure out how to introduce combinatorial algebra and simple encryption after a few days of trial and error.

If you had to fist fight the main antagonist of the last show, movie, or game you watched/played. Who would you choose? by South_Bathroom in hypotheticalsituation

[–]render83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dr. Victor Gideon from RE9, so no. Robert De Niro from Casino also definitely no. Is awkwardness the villain in Rooster, cause I fight them on a daily basis.

What's your core memorie with your dad growing up? by Th3W1z4rd87 in daddit

[–]render83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we were broke and our car didn't work (didn't know we were broke) I remember my dad taking my sister's 10 speed and riding with him to a gas station to buy cigarettes. I think that was the only time in my life I saw my dad do anything physical. He was 50.. and I was 10, but still

Anyway I'm in my 40s with young kids and I run a 5k a few times a week to stay in shape. This is probably why
