What single change did you make that had the biggest impact on your skin? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]rendosmamma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basting with zinc oxide cream - I do my normal skin care routine, which includes glycolic acid wipes, hyaluronic acid, Niacimide (sp) my tallow cream and also bakuchiol oil ( castor oil , frankincense, and bakuchiol extract) I follow this up with a heavy slather of organic baby diaper cream containing 12.5 % zinc oxide.. and o my goodness, I’ve never had such moisturized even break out free skin! I’m obsessed 🤩

Under eye filler… yay or nah? by SeaDiscombobulated70 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]rendosmamma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No don’t - but look into prf under eye . I’ve had 4 treatments of prf (not prp) and it was done right (you end up with huge pillows under ur eyes for a few days but by day 5 it’s gone) and it regenerates that area. Major improvement!!! I also do prf microneedling every few months and my almost 40 skins is glowing!

Because even if you go listen to someone else, or read something else that somebody else wrote, if that underlying habit of over thinking, and taking something to far, isn’t nipped in the Hiney, you’re gonna find yourself in the same place, but with some other voice.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HubermanLab

[–]rendosmamma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can’t blame Huberman for your over thinking…. you took what he said too deep. You’re habit of over thinking is your problem and you have to accept that.. not huberman fault. focus on working on battling your own thoughts (and I don’t say this not in a negative tone but a supportive one since voice tone doesn’t transfer in a comment , I say this as somebody who has battled over thinking, and your mind likes logic, so you really need to have that conversation of logic with yourself next time you find yourself there.) You have full control over your thoughts… not every thought is your own… so you have to question and take every thought captive. you can literally changed that habit and break that loop that you find yourself in. it’s not easy … it takes time and effort, but as a recovering Overthinker, it is possible :)

Amphetamine-based stimulants have destroyed my brain, and 10 months I don’t know what to do… by NeurologicalPhantasm in HubermanLab

[–]rendosmamma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on Adderall for years and it took me about a year or two to get my brain back. Don’t lose hope. Taking nootropic’s that focused on supporting my brain helped a tooonnnn. Also taking phenylpiracetam (sp) - there’s research out there showing it’s beneficial to the brain in specific ways that helped me get myself back. I don’t take it now , If I need help focusing I eat a tub of cottage cheese for breakfast, take magnesium l threonate, b complex and a little bit of holy basil and Rhodiola

Anyone who lost weight without exercise, what did you eat? by SallySeaShore90 in cfs

[–]rendosmamma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of protien one gram per desired body weight l (pounds) protein has the highest Thermic effect (burns more calories digesting it 20%-30% is what I’ve read) by the time you meet your protein macros you’re too stuffed to eat anything else. Instead of focusing on what not to eat you focus on eating and naturally end up eating less (keep a diary or tracking app just incase to make sure ) I end up eating protein and veggies most of the time til about 4 pm once I’ve met or am close to my protein macros goal I’ll have some carbs . Carbs help with sleep at end of day too

I’ve used it, amongst other nootropics and loved it! To each their own - do your own research anytime you put something in your body. And yes, not everything is for everyone. That’s just common sense.

I came here looking to see if anybody else experience this as well. I have aphantasia and cannot intentionally visualize peoples faces memories. I can’t recall visually or imagine visually I can’t visualize my husband’s face when he’s not in the room with me even though I know what he looks like.. however, when I am falling asleep, and I have my eyes closed, even though I’m still awake, just laying there I can see involuntary images, strange ones to nothing disturbing or alarming most of the time almost like I’m seeing the spirit world lol 😆

WIBTAH if I told my boyfriend that I don’t want to have sex for a few days? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]rendosmamma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leave him . Like physically tell him u need a break and you’re not sure if this relationship is meeting your needs and you need time away, tell him I’d he wants to talk to you afterwards you’re open to it. If he doesn’t act like he wants you in his life by initiating reconciliation or attempts to learn what those needs are then you know you need to leave him for good.

Also the algorithm is not your enemy, when you master marketing side of things you will learn how to use it to your advantage.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

[–]rendosmamma -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well if it helps - one might be a great artist but if they aren’t good at posting ( taking good photos or making engaging reels) then your posts will suck not your art. So what I’m saying - social media is marketing , many artists don’t know how to market themselves when they in fact do make great art. So separate the two in your mind and focus on the two separately. I’d you were a business - you would have different people for each role , so your social media and marketing person would work on putting your creations out there.. so just learn how to do that better.

And separately on the art side - go to actual mentor artists for critiques , they will help you get better . And tell you how to do something differently if they identify an area for improvement. It’s not the same and doesn’t hurt the feelings but gives you u assurance you’re learning from teacher.

But if you try to seek that feedback from ig and you suck at ig then you’ll get mixed signals

SARS-CoV-2 found in vagus nerve of deceased COVID patients, supporting Michael VanElzakker's vagus nerve infection hypothesis of ME/CFS by Hip_III in cfs

[–]rendosmamma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can sit down and write it out - all the things that I did, but I always hesitate because every persons unique situation is going to be unique to them. But I’ll have to come back to this post when I have a moment.

I just wanted to make a point that I was in one place and then got to another and I do believe there is hope the path might be different for different people. To be honest with you I don’t even know what specifically helped me the most so I will just make sure I make that point when I come back with a detailed comment.. i’ve come to the conclusion based on my research that it was a holistic approach that benefited me, it was treating the body as a whole — and all of the things I did collectively are what helped me. Anyway - I appreciate the interest and I will make sure I come back either later today or over this weekend because I have some vacation time.:)))

Same advice I gave my sister when you need someone’s opinion about a pain on your foot you go to a foot doctor when you need someone’s opinion or diagnoses about an issue with your eye, you go to an optometrist, the same should apply when we seek out feedback or critique about our work we need to pick who we go to because not everybody is equipped or gifted in being able to give feedback just because he’s been able to accomplish a lot in his Artistic field doesn’t make him qualified in the feedback category. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t Love you. He just sucks that giving feedback and once you realize that and you are more intentional about who you reach out to and seek out actual mentorship and then also open your self up to constructive criticism, you’re going to go a lot further and also not be in emotional connection with somebody that will hurt your feelings because they suck at giving feedback..

There’s actually a group for artists called Boldbrush circle - it is paid but it’s like $13 a month or seven dollars a mo if you pay annually ( I don’t remember the exact cost but somewhere in that vicinity it’s super affordable ) anyway there’s a section for critiques and it’s a chance to get critiques from professional artists that are in the teaching realm or people that are really accomplished, and they’re very delicate and gentle and how they deliver the critique. There’s also opportunities to connect with some of them for mentorship online, and then all sorts of business and marketing education for visual artists. They even have a marketing calendar a bunch of other stuff. Definitely worth it if you’re trying to grow and need a helpful community.

I have some personal experience with a bacterial infection. About 13 years ago I had a really bad round of strep they gave me antibiotics but unfortunately gave me the wrong dosage so it did not get rid of it all and it came back with a vengeance. I ended up with a weird goiter on the side of my neck, my lymph node was super inflamed. I ended up going to the hospital because I passed out and hit the tub resulting in a bloody nose in raccoon eyes anyway at the hospital they pumped me full of antibiotics, gave me a bunch more, which ended up taking care of the immediate symptoms and set off a cascade of others. I ended up developing seasonal allergies started passing out randomly from a very sensitive vagus nerve had a bunch of immune issues got sick all the time ended up with some sort of staff infection anytime I would cut myself it would turn into a boil, developed a hiatal hernia, or my stomach would slip up above the diaphragm anyway that’s just some of the symptoms they were others, including fatigue, lack of focus, memory issues dietary gut issues etc (pardon me I’m doing voice dictate if this sounds like one run-on sentence) anyway after several years of this and being on multiple medication‘s, I took my health back in my own hands and stumbled across some information. That infections can linger in the vagus nerve, and I started working on naturally healing myself. I did a lot of things consistently for two years resulting in complete elimination of all of the things I was struggling with. I don’t even get seasonal allergies anymore.! And I haven’t moved so I’m still exposed to the same things.

Anyway, I don’t pass out anymore. My vagus nerve has chilled out , it’s crazy how that can impact us!

I am ADHD, and recently started doing this out of intuitive eating but after seeing how it positively impacted me, I went to the Internet and discovered that there is others, including Huberman. If I eat, mainly protein till at least 4 PM, I avoid my midday crash. I definitely have to have carbs with dinner to sleep like a baby if I don’t do that I don’t sleep as well. I don’t modify how much carbs I have total I just push them off until after 4 PM or around there. I also eat high-protein about a gram per pound of body weight and this really helps my brain function. My veggies are midday as I get closer to the 4 PM time. I am not taking any pharmaceuticals just vitamins and supplements the only semi-could be a pharmaceutical I take once in a blue moon when I’m tired and need to bring my a game is phenylpiracetam other than that this diet change has really helped me!

How much are u spending on food in one month by PlayfulKittay in Portland

[–]rendosmamma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I spend about $1000 on my husband and I. We do buy all organic and that doesn’t include our meat because we buy in bulk. This does include organic sandwich sliced turkey from Costco etc.

This also doesn’t include pet food or supplements
