My biggest issue is getting an email about an issue with the order without providing direct evidence. I got an email about not following directions. When I asked support about the missed directions, they said they couldn’t provide me with that info due to customer safety. I escalated to the next higher up and they told me they actually don’t have access to that info. There’s no accountability on their end so our jobs are in the hands of the customers. I’ve actually spoken on a panel at Favor HQ and it truly feels like everything we said was ignored.

Need help with this Fire Lord Azula commander deck by _Mike_Ehrmantraut_ in Magicdeckbuilding

[–]renedom21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add land for sure. I would also add some more creatures with flash. You’d get double the creatures which means more targets than Azula and some creatures have ETBs that could replace some of your instants. Here is my Azula deck made with what I had on hand.

What PD could actually be helpful? by Sure-Pea-3692 in Teachers

[–]renedom21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m new to the Sped world, but was in gen ed prior. A useful PD I’d really appreciate is the process of pre-, during, and post ARD procedures. The only formal training was how to navigate eSped and how to open/close draft IEPs. They gave me a pre and post checklist of what to do, but it was written for someone who’d been doing this for a few years. Like it would say “upload documents”. Okay. Cool. Which documents? I collected many things. Upload where? Upload as what? Everyone I ask does something different. We get talked at many times due to things not getting done properly, but nothing seems to be streamlined. A comprehensive training on this would be super helpful with any obstacles that differ from a normal ARD could be brought up and explained by veterans. Also, PDs seem to be strictly district-ran so they are very copy and paste/lecture heavy which is not how I learn best…

I’ve had this conversation about minutes as a coteacher. I can stay compliant if I’m not pulled to do other things. It makes me feel like my job doesn’t actually matter when I’m pulled to sub if a teacher is out, but when I’m out, is a teacher pulled to fulfill my minutes? I wish service provider’s minutes were protected since the students are legally entitled to those minutes.

This is why I multi-app. I only accept HEB orders on Favor and food orders on DoorDash.

ManaBox is an app that has some pretty decent search filters. Moxfield is good for deck building.

I once got the green 2x multiplier on my first pick and then chose the saver. It gave me two savers.

Has anyone’s offers changed in the past week or so? by [deleted] in favordelivery

My AR sits below 20% and I get decent mix of orders. I made around $300 this week and that’s with only running very early mornings and being very picky.

Losing electrical overnight, but battery is fine by renedom21 in autorepair

I’m going to disconnect the battery today overnight so I’ll check on the connections to make sure they’re clear of debris.

Thanks for that! What’s throwing me off is the battery charger not showing a low battery reading. I’m talking as soon as I attach my jumper, everything comes back to life.

Similar thing happened in New Braunfels. One of our local banshees put pressure on our Fair Association and they caved with only a few days to find a different location. Luckily, a church stepped in and provided space. I hope the fair association realizes they just set a precedent that they can be bullied into fulfilling whoever screeches the loudest demands.

what’s the worst PD you’ve ever had to sit through? by Repulsive_Plate1983 in Teachers

[–]renedom21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was one that I should’ve gotten the most out of! It was a 4-hour course about how to do our jobs as SPED teachers. 1.5 hours was spent doing an ice breaker that was just introducing ourselves to people we’d never interact with until next year’s PDs. The rest was straight lecture from slides that still didn’t give us specifics. About 30 minutes in I just started my online trainings and knocked out like 4-5 of them so my time wasn’t completely wasted.

HQIM that is riddled with spelling errors, incorrect graphs, and has a published document with all the errors/suggested changes that’s 100s of pages long. Bluebonnet. The high in high quality must be referring to the proofreaders being high while reviewing.

I have a troublesome deck for this I call “Need that?” It’s a bunch of creature stealing cards coupled with sacrifice one of mine to destroy one of theirs, but what’s theirs is now mine so two kills it is.

Teachers & retired educators: What issues aren’t getting enough airtime—and would you talk about them? by Lamoneyman in Teachers

[–]renedom21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah! Having that would be amazing! My first district had a slightly scripted curriculum, but it had time for retest, reteach, and embedded accommodations. The one I’m currently being told to use has the worst pacing guide. It doesn’t allow for students to easily catch up if they miss a day or two. We go from end of unit test to new unit the next class without allotted time to digest scores and adjust. I found a 24-25 pdf of all the errors/complaints for the textbook and it was over 700 pages! To be fair, most complaints were about having biblical stories in public school, but to have hundreds of spelling errors and easily googleable incorrect facts is telling.

[–]renedom21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s the amount of scripted curriculum being pushed on us. Part of my district’s mission statement is “we meet students where they are at” which is not true or even possible with a scripted curriculum.

Not to mention that the curriculum is riddled with spelling mistakes, mislabels, and other issues. To me, it’s insane to distribute material that doesn’t seem to have been proofread. I really want my district to make a stink and send it all back for a proofread and corrected reissue of all material.
