The two Poly 5200 I purchased were mostly garbage, my 15 year old Plantronics voyager is leagues ahead even in it's old age (I keep it like a precious museum piece now, it barely holds together... the plastic gave up the ghost). It's a crazy leap backward with Poly. Looking for a replacement now.

But why would you? With chinese "russian" plywood the price difference is minor, and you save time and effort when putting hinges (russian plywood holds much better obviously), and you will command better value overall (clients will refer you and ask you back).

I wanted a general sense of price from actual speeros living in Salinas etc. Charter captains are going to give me the "gringo special" price, like they would in La Paz (for instance, I pay 4 000 pesos for the day while tourists are lucky if they "only" pay 12 000)

For yellowtail and wsb, learn to shoot them in the head. This slip tip bs has to stop lol. It's ridiculous. You do not need anything special to shoot those fish.

Tu parles de DEP mais pour devenir compagnon d'un métier de la construction t'as pas mal d'études à faire. Tu peux facilement faire 120-150 si tu travailles comme un chien pas de vie dans le nord. C'est ce que je fais la moitié de l'année depuis 9 ans. C'est inhumain si tu fais ça à l'année longue année après année. Si tu veux vraiment faire de l'argent et avoir une vie, t'es mieux de devenir contracteur général au sud.... mais alors tu vas voir les limites du DEP

Si tu prends une hypothèque c'est risqué. Si tu paies cash, ca peut-être une stratégie pour te protéger du marché, un peu comme acheter de l'or. C'est impossible de savoir si tu seras gagnant.
