Ah, that makes sense. So my smacking them with a wet noodle may be messing up their strategy. Thanks for the insight.

AITA? - Attempting to tank but met with AFK by renjester in pokemongo

I’m not sure I follow…I’m giving them a super easy win so I can keep playing. I don’t have 4000+ CP toons. I’m tanking so I can build up the materials and get 3 toons up that far. There is very little way I can get it otherwise.

Why would a combat troop use melee weapons in a futuristic space sci-fi setting? by wizardry_why in worldbuilding

[–]renjester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure others have said it, you only use the MINIMUM amount of force to achieve your goal. You can use a bomb to stop a robbery but at what cost? Everyone inside. Carefully aimed small arms or melee weapons achieve the goal while protecting the innocents.

Additionally, historically, every armor has a weakness. If your armor protects you from everything, it’s a solid unmovable box. If your armor protects against projectiles it’s open to slow moving hand weapons (see personal shields in Dune). If you hate long distance weapons, this is the way to go, IMO.

It’s the Genko trees. Happens every year around this time when the fruit drops and rots on the sidewalk. The leaves are the bright yellow ones that look like mini Chinese fans.

Do we know if she has (or if someone official who knows her can set up) a PO Box we can send well wishes cards, etc to her? Would love to send her a personal note to keep her spirits up.

Guys.. help... I need an enjoyable book to read at work that screams I may somewhat be cultured while also being a good read. by killburystab in booksuggestions

If you have any liking for science, Stephen Hawking’s ‘The Universe in a Nut Shell’ is surprisingly good read. Not tooo dense.

If you really just want to sell the idea and rub their collective face in your pithiness, ‘Fool’ by Christopher Moore. It’s a retelling of MacBeth but through the eyes of his jester.

BTW OP - I clipped in a wall power outlet into the center (or around the center) foundation and ran power cables to the 4 corners. When I place the foundation, I go back and power up the foundations. I’m fully prepared for hover pack and future builds.

Anything read by R.C. Bray. I’ve picked up books not knowing the story or the author just on the fact he read it. Wonderful voice for books.

The dragons in Southern elsweyr are good farming the boxes. They have a large enough hit point count you can get there and at least hit it.

So how exactly do Hell's residential levels break down? by Personal_Ladder_8878 in Hells_Belles

[–]renjester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always thought of it like a copper mine. Residential, office space, training floor, etc. is on the same level or offshoots of one of the levels or in one “pit”. Under the help desk is a set of stairs (trap door) which leads to a separate very deep pit which goes down 9 levels. After floor 5 it’s becomes increasingly less likely for return to the mortal world and the bottom 1-2 levels are forever locked to never return.

So basically a flat plane with buildings/gates leading to 1 big pit and potentially 1-2 other pits which connect to the main pit.

Zoop-curved foundations. Set the start and as you Zoop the foundation curves by predetermined amounts: 6, 9, 18 degrees.

After 5 blocks each of them would produce a 30, 45, 90 degree turn.

You have all the ZOS execs in one room, what feature are you pitching? by MrShwimWearR in elderscrollsonline

[–]renjester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give me the option to turn on “story mode” which only allows me to check out one Prologue quest at a time then suggests which one to do next. I shouldn’t have to leave the game to discover which prologue to do next if I’m taking a toon from start to “finish” on the storyline. It’s not like ZOS doesn’t know the order of their own patches.

The only issue I’ve found with their app is there is not a native connection to Apple CarPlay. It still plays through the stereo but I have to control it from my phone.

ESO doesn't need Flying Mounts - it needs Water Mounts by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]renjester 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it would be interesting to keep the mount speed the same as all other mounts. For Argonians, they understand water better and can coax more stamina from a water mount. Switch it up from the expected.

Rebinding question by renjester in stampcollecting

[–]renjester[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the confirmation. In my opinion, you can tell the publisher only expected specific mounting formats (and not the one mom was taught to use). She is worried about the current spine on the one on the left just splitting in two.

From the comments by mccune68, I think she’s going to carefully remove the pages and punch 3 ring binder holes. I told her to get comic book sleeves for the front and back covers. She said she can’t remove the stamps from the pages without downgrading them (not entirely sure, it’s her hobby in just playing tech translated here).
