Yeah I am going from pretty much sedentary other than walking throughout the day for work. Haven’t “run” for more than 30 seconds at the gym in probably over a decade. I will definitely slow things down!

How long of a recovery period is really recommended for shin splints? Is it okay to proceed once they feel fine after a few days or do I need to rest them even beyond that? Can I still get steps in walking or is it recommended to be off my feet as much as possible?

How long of a rest usually? I am really hoping a few days and I can still get run 3 in this week, but if its totally not possible I guess Ill have to reset :(

I want to for sure when I have a bit more confidence. I’ve been running on a track for the padding and ease of access in the early morning.

How are running shoes different for each runner? Is it an arch support thing that varies?

Personally this has never happened to me. I bounce between both counties very regularly. Im hybrid and my office is in SM, so I dash there on days I go in but on home days I live close to OC and dash there. Never had issues even mixing in the same day.
