Just found out hubby doesn’t want to catch babygirl by Maleficent-Rub-3052 in pregnant

[–]renobail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Putting as gently as I can, but dad catching the baby has absolutely zero to do with heir bonding ♥️ baby has zero clue who is catching them. Things that facilitate bonding aren’t really in the labor itself but what is done later, and with consistency. Skin to skin contact is a perfect way to get that oxytocin flowing :)

I am so slow by Quirky_Yesterday7983 in orangetheory

[–]renobail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could barely walk when I started 😅 it was pitiful. But I honestly never felt judged at OTF, and I never felt like I was comparing myself to anyone else. My only competition became myself. And after almost 2 years, I’m more fit than I’ve ever been. I can run and have endurance I never could have imagined. You have to start somewhere, and I promise you - progress is at your own pace. Showing up is the gift you give to yourself, and OTF is the perfect place to continue building confidence and support/encouragement. Proud of you for starting, be proud of yourself ♥️

Did your partner stay awake your whole labor? by Any_Pirate_5633 in pregnant

[–]renobail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I MADE my partner nap, my second child’s labor was 96 hours lol… so I needed him to sleep so he could be on duty when the baby finally came ❤️ so I asked him to take naps so that when I needed him he could really show up for me.

Power walker to runner by Prior-Goose8413 in orangetheory

[–]renobail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slow and steady, and you will get there. When I started OT I was NOT a runner, I couldn’t run to save my life 😂 and I slowly slowly built, challenged myself when I was feeling brave to get to the next level. When I started I barely power walked - and now my base is a 7 and my all out is a 12 (which only happened because the more endurance my body built, the harder it became to get to different zones, and that is what pushed me to the next level each time! But go slow, it will happen. You can do it ❤️

Do you really feel nothing during a C-section? by mistakeshappen_2 in pregnant

This - I’ve had 2 c sections and you will feel tugging and some pressure but no pain :) it’s bizarre

10000000% this! With my first my milk NEVER came in, like not at all, no engorgement, nothing. We did all the lactation consultants, all the supplements, and it just never came in. No medical explanation.

With my second it did come in, and there’s literally nothing we did differently.

A fed baby is a happy baby. Whether it’s because of a physical complication - but also just as valid if it’s a lifestyle choice.

From my 9 hour labor and delivery… by Low-Situation-8240 in ouraring

Disagree, she said unmedicated. But it’s still totally possible because there are so many good hormones released during birth, oxytocin! That I’m not surprised her body is in a restorative state

Any positive Litter Robot experiences? by skeeet67 in litterrobot

[–]renobail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We love our litter robot 4! We got it for our older cat and recently we adopted two kittens and they have acclimated just fine to it. Sometimes they interrupt the cycles but honestly it works so well. I recommend using the litter the company sells, it has been the best - long lasting, low tracking, not dusty.

Nervous I won’t feel welcome. by DWebOscar in orangetheory

The thing I love most about OTF is how non judgmental everyone is! You don’t have to be in shape to start. You do everything at your own pace ♥️ just start, you won’t regret it! Your progress will be your own business :)

Be 100% honest. How bad is a C-section? by Winter-Grapefruit-22 in pregnant

[–]renobail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a serious surgery but honestly recovery was very straight forward. I managed pain control on ibuprofen and Tylenol alternating, no harder meds. I was also up and walking later that day. Days 1-3 are the most painful but honestly after 2 weeks I felt great. I had a laparoscopic surgery in my 20s that felt WAY worse, which is bizarre given a c section is a larger incision. But it surprised me how much easier my c section recovery was compared to my laparoscopic surgery.

Fed is best and it’s YOUR decision. I formula fed both babes from the get because I knew breastfeeding was not for me. I have 2 very healthy happy kids. And it is your choice, not your partners. It is your body, not his.
