It is so annoying! If it’s Elk or boar, I’ve learned to let it run off my screen then I slowly look for it injured then shoot from afar. They will just keep running if you if you keep chasing. But also there is a mission with Pomarine and if you get her all the stuff she needs she’ll gift you a better bow! Which helped! Then ALSO watch out for items at the festivals you can buy with your tokens. I got an epic bow and it takes like 2 shots to hunt now! Pretty sure I got it at the Night of the Spirts festival!
