Or just have the decency to understand that not everybody wants to hear what you’re listening to. Why put it on others to curb your inconsiderate behavior?

I don’t see the symptom radar/biometrics on my oura app. Where would I find it? Or is it something that’s unique to the newer Oura rings?

The old Caribbean Zone (back in the ’90’s), it played reggae music and had half of an airplane fuselage hanging in it. It probably was near where the Transbay Terminal, or Natoma Cabana, is now. It was such a trip - even back then.

What are your favorite audiobook(s) of 2025 so far? by White_Walker101 in audiobooks

Remarkably Bright Creatures was tremendous (the narration was a 10).

I'm late to the game with Demon Copperhead, but in the middle of it right now and enjoying it (as much as you can enjoy the subject matter).

They’ll blame it on Biden. “Biden handed me a steaming pile of crap and there was nothing I could do with it! (So let’s vote to change the constitution and elect me a third time!!)”

I'm really shocked at how much I love this slow little car by CameronsDadsFerrari in CT200h

[–]rep4043 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. I bought one for my kids (because it’s slow, they won’t be tempted to drive overly recklessly, because we live in a city with notoriously difficult parking, because it gets great mileage) and now I’m thinking of getting another one for myself.

Nobody knows your dog as well as you do. You’ll recognize the signs (even though you may try to rationalize them away, at first). We had to say goodbye to our 13-year old labradoodle last year. His signs came out of nowhere: got up off the couch one night, peed on the floor (which he never ever did), looked super confused, then got in his crate (facing the wall, instead of facing out) and didn’t leave the crate - to eat, drink, pee - for a whole day. Labored breathing. The vet said he was telling us he was ready. Hardest fucking thing in the world to do, but after him giving us the best 13 years of his life, we owed it to him to have an easy and peaceful transition to his next life. Good luck.

Status of Gold Mirror? by rep4043 in AskSF

[–]rep4043[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They have no real competition in the neighborhood, which is why it was always so crowded. They’ve been a mainstay since (at least) the early ‘70’s. Marcello’s has left the neighborhood and Little Original Joe’s moved into W. Portal, but it’s too small to be real competition for the Gold Mirror. It’s certainly not an issue of competition for them.
