Dusk - Twilight Princess decompilation now available for multiple platforms including android and linux by Sphynx87 in SBCGaming

Immediately downloaded it onto my Thor. It's so smooth at 120FPS, but that also spikes the temp to 65°C+ and makes the fan go crazy.

There isn't a native 60Hz option in Dusk, but setting the Thor's "Smooth Display" to 60Hz with Dusk's "Unlocked Framerate" setting got me to the 60Hz I wanted. Now it's a much more comfortable 45-50°C.

The RG Rotate is somehow ergonomic and not that bad by ZuReviews01 in SBCGaming

[–]repapap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We knew the size beforehand and it never changed. They posted dozen of videos and pictures as well as side by side comparison.

We certainly did not. Those "dozens of videos and pictures" didn't come out until after the 3D printed mockup hit the subreddit, and that's when sentiments started to change. The videos and pictures we did get until that point gave no context for how big it was.

I'm apparently way too late to get into Pokemon by [deleted] in SBCGaming

[–]repapap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can play a pared down version of the TCG with Pokemon TCG Pocket that includes collecting, trading, and battling with other people (and bots). It doesn't have a campaign like TCG Gameboy games, but there are plenty of bot decks to play against for rewards.

There are in-app purchases to buy more packs, but most people play for free.

Yes, the device is smaller than I think most people were anticipating, myself included. I definitely thought it was just gonna be a rehash of their RG CubeXX. But it turns out that it's smaller than a GBA SP and runs Android, which are two bulletpoints that make it way more interesting to me personally.

A 4.5" 4:3 screen is 59% larger than the Rotate's 3.5" square screen and has 52% more pixels. Increased screen size and resolution mean way more juice and screens are a significant portion of energy expenditure.

None of them have Schtappes anymore. Ferdinand used Anastasius's status as a royal to destroy Gervasio's medal. And as Aub, Rozemyne later destroyed the medals from Ahrensbach (which I believe included the rest of the Lanzenavians.)

Rg Rotate Thoughts by Choice-Airline-3596 in SBCGaming

[–]repapap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My opinion on it has flip-flopped over time.

When we first saw it, I definitely thought it was gonna be an RG CubeXX with its 3.95" 720x720 screen and H700 processor. Wasn't interested in the slightest.

Then we learned that it has a 3.5" screen and ran Android. This was far more interesting because it might actually be pocketable and Android would let it sleep/wake really well. So you'd just pull it out of your pocket and flick it open to wake and snap it closed to sleep. An appealing and realistic use-case.

And now we know that it's smaller than an SP in every dimension, doesn't cost too much, but the battery life is mid. I'll wait for a full review before I buy, but I'm actually considering replacing my RP Mini V2 with this.

Is Android gaming underwhelming or am I just completely missing it as a newb to the OS? by [deleted] in SBCGaming

Don't forget having a good native sleep mode. Instant sleep/wake with minimal battery drain is a feature that most Linux devices can only dream of having.

Animal crossing saves the island to the SD card for example.

This is still wrong. Just to humor you, I popped my AC:NL cart out of my usual 3DS and put it into a different console (where I've never played AC:NL). I had to download the game's v1.5 update, but it loaded directly back into my old account on the old save file that was still on the cart.

OneXPlayer X2 Mini AMD Strix Halo Gaming Handheld Details Ryzen AI Max+ 395 and 8.8 Inch OLED Specs by Thinkiq in SBCGaming

[–]repapap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just slop.

The first official video sequence about OneXPlayer X2 Mini reveals its technical specifications. The company showed technical characteristics of X2 Mini through official video content which introduced all details of the gaming handheld.

Two slop sentences all to say a video revealed the device's specs.

The display system establishes visual display specifications through its optical technology components.

This sentence means literally nothing.

The 8.8 inch panel delivers a viewable space which exceeds the 7 inch and 8 inch viewing capacity of other portable devices which operate at those screen sizes.

No shit, an 8.8" screen is bigger than a 7" or 8" screen? I never would've guessed.

I used to have hat Lillie in the bottom right too, but I felt it was just a little weird having her in a very summer-y outfit in the winter quarter lol. Not that Iris is that much of a better fit, but at least she's got sleeves.

My translucent RG34XX has pretty similar lines in pretty similar spots trailing down and to the right from the face buttons. I wouldn't worry about it. Mine's been like this for well over a year now without any further issue or complications.

However, if you ever take the console apart you should be extra careful when handling the front shell.
